We fell in love with our stay

We enjoyed our stay so much at the cottage that we wish we were able to stay for longer! The cottage had everything we needed, it was super spacious and cosy at the same time. Easy to communicate with the owner and retrieve the key. Amazing views, super warm, great beds, and beyond. Super convenient location too. We had great fun building puzzles. The owner was even able to immediately accommodate us for an extra night when our ferry got cancelled just after we left due to the weather! So kind and extremely appreciated - we will surely be back in the future. Thank you for making our trip so wonderful!

Spacious, well equipped kitchen. Having two bathrooms very good.

Pillows on the bed were uncomfortable. Key for front door is tricky. Could be improved. There was a smell of cat urine in foyer and bathroom.

Wonderful home away from home

Very comfortable and well equipped. Slept great. Nice views too. Lots of hot water too. Easy access and we were able to arrive early to get out of the rain weather.

Excellent location of the house, which is suitable for the whole family. It was lovely to have breakfast in the morning and watch the sheep and boats in the harbor from the window. Better than TV. Plenty of space for everyone and for preparing food and showering and bathing. It feels like home here.

A few extra touches could make a big difference: Normal sized glasses - something in between the pint glasses and the tiny port glasses for water would be great. Tea towels! A shelf in the en-suite bathroom - there is nowhere to put any toiletries Better light in the en-suite bathroom - the led light does not give enough light Rug in the sitting room - this room is pretty unwelcoming with its hard floor. We ended up huddling around the kitchen table.

Friendly drive by host, comfortable and clean. a fabulous stay for two couples as we both had separate sleeping areas and shared common area in between. great array of cooking condiments and generally well supplied kitchen and laundry as well as games and videos in the cupboard. a great place to base a group or family when exploring the Isle of Lewis.

We enjoyed the quiet location and thanks to our host for making the stay so easy.

Our host provided a very generous stock of food in the fridge for cooked breakfasts and the cottage was extremely well equipped.

Very minor: But clothes hooks in bathrooms would have been nice. And if there was a hair dryer, we couldn't find one! Lastly, we found remembering to boost the hot water programme a little annoying.

Homely rural setting near Stornoway

This is a very well-provisioned modern & spotlessly clean home that is just outside Stornoway in a pleasant rural setting with views to the sea. Everything is provided, including a washing machine & tumble dryer. There is sufficient parking for two cars, if needed. To the back is a small, enclosed garden with seating.

An enjoyable week in a comfortable cottage.

The cottage was easy to find, in a lovely location with a sea view. It was well equipped and comfortable. Our dog loved the secure garden!

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our short break in this cottage and we were sorry to leave.

Location was superb, overlooking the approach to the harbour and only a short car journey from the town centre. It was quiet and peaceful with views across the fields to the water. The property was well stocked and the items left in the fridge for us were a pleasant surprise. There were plenty of plates, cutlery, etc. for our use.

A few ceiling lights in the kitchen were not working. On two occasions boiling the kettle caused the power to partially go off but it may have been a dodgy socket as it did not happen again when we plugged the kettle into another socket. We alerted the owner who said she would contact an electrician to check this out.
