Green Hills House

Daniele and his lovely mum have created a peaceful paradise in the hills. As soon as you enter the beautifully landscaped property you feel yourself relax. The rooms are so clean you feel like you‘re the first ever guest. The mattress was great and the towels smelled and felt wonderful. It’s an easy short drive to Cefalù and going towards Castel di Tusa is a scenic drive that’s worth seeing. (As are the villages on the way). We loved Cefalù every day and enjoyed leaving the crowds behind to return to „our“ quiet home at night. It was hard to leave, we loved every minute. If you go, go up on the roof to enjoy the view. The moonlight reflecting off the sea is quite something.

It‘s in nature so bring bug spray, they have netting on the windows and mosquito repellent plugs which do help inside.

The host/owners are fantastic. Very hospitable and seem to enjoy making some small talk and can help you in every way possible. Either with suggestions for trips or when you have questions on the apartment. The apartment is extremely well maintained and everything is very clean. Really would recommend it to anyone, especially people who love a beautiful view and a rural authentic sicilian experience.

While to us it is definitely an upside, the only downside to the apartment could be that it is situated on a hill. So you do need a car to get around. Not recommended to public transport users. To us it was the location that made it awesome.
