Villa Palamara 1868-Toweronthesea

Villa Palamara 1868 is a wonderful gem. The historical buildings are set in amongst an abundant garden, with a scenic pool found amongst figs, lemons and limes. The sunsets from the courtyard are breathtaking. Our apartment (apartment with sea view) comfortably fitted our family of five and was charmingly and thoughtfully decorated. Owner, Francesco has thought of everything. We had great aircon, satellite tv, wifi, the use of a central washing machine and so many extras (tea, coffee, oil etc). The apartment was spotlessly clean and so welcoming. We had easy access to the waste disposal (and our apartment provided all four bins for sorting making it very simple to do things correctly). We did a cooking class with Chef Antonio and Piena - a highlight of our four month trip! Our three daughters made a 3 course, Sicilian meal including their own pasta. Bellissimo! Villa Palamara also offers a very well priced breakfast on site and there was a great range of plentiful choices (meats, cheese, bread, toast, jams, Sicilian cakes, great coffee, tea etc). The driveway is steep but once you’ve driven it once, it’s easy and the automatic gate is a big plus. You can walk for 10 mins to the pebbled beach below, where you can dine or take a short car trip into historic Sant Ambrogio for great pizza at Sikula! Cefalu was a short (5 min drive) away. De ligging, het zwembad, gratis gebruik wasmachine en na een week werd het appartement schoongemaakt incl.verschoning van de bedden.

Wij misten een eigen terras. Wij hebben de eigenaar en of beheerder niet gezien. Alles ging via Whatsapp. Als je wat appte kreeg je wel direct een reactie. De wasmachine was wel aan vervanging toe. We kregen 2 handdoeken per persoon. Daar moest je 1 week meedoen.

Lovely and very well equiped appartments at a lovely location with a stunning pool.

Service on site are limited and in our opinion the breakfast option was too simple for the costs. Offering a bit more service and relax and seating options would boost the overal experience.
