A home away from home

Owner/host was very friendly and welcoming. Bedroom was spotless and the whole house was clean and well presented. Breakfast was delicious and I enjoyed a proper cafetière coffee too! Shower was spacious and hot water was plentiful. Bed was super comfortable and room was cozy.

It was still a pleasant stay and served our needs.

Vanessa was a great host and went the extra mile. Lovely cooked breakfasts and very clean.

My partner and I were there three nights and it was a very small/ tiny room. Once our bags (one bag each) were in the room there was not a great deal of room left. I would have to scramble over the bed to get to the bathroom and toilet. The steps were very steep. The dog was in and around the kitchen when breakfast was being cooked.

Landlady was lovely, very pleasant, and very friendly. Room was excellent, clean and tidy superb shower, beds comfortable and room lovely and clean.

Beautiful b&b

Vanessa,the owner was lovely and friendly and her home was exceptional. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard and the furniture and decor are wonderful. The location was great,the town centre easily accessible by the bus,there is a bus stop literally on the doorstep. Would recommend fernlea to anyone.

Great 2 night stay

Great location with parking. Nice easy flat walk(2miles) to the beach front. Only 10miles away from Cheddar Gorge. Vanessa is a lovely, helpful and friendly host. The house is immaculate. I stayed in a twin room, which was spacious with lovely garden views. Tea/coffee/biscuits in room. Nice en-suite with shower. Showers gel/body lotion etc. TV . Gorgeous tasty breakfast. Full English/Cereal/Toast. ( would have liked fresh fruit and yoghurt option , but the breakfast was so nice, it wasn’t a problem) Public house over the road, which had live music during Sunday afternoon.

Gem of a find.

Exceeded our expectations in every way. We were able to park right outside, the room was immaculate as was the bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and Vanessa was very helpful with local information. Would highly recommend.

Perfect and comfortable

The property was immaculate, room lovely ,bed so comfy and Vanessa was there to greet us and was very accommodating. Breakfast was lovely too . Happy to go back .

WiFi is a bit iffy but that was the only issue we had but it really wasn’t an issue at all .

Delightful, quiet, but accessible property with a caring host

Fernlea is a delight! It is spotlessly clean, has excellent facilities and a charming host for whom nothing was too much trouble. I was initially concerned about the location on a busy road junction, ... but Vanessa made a parking space available right by the front door, away from the road (my soft-top car has minimal security). The property is a haven of silence - absolutely NO traffic noise.

Perfect stay

Received a warm welcome from Vanessa who showed us to our room, Breakfast was absolutely lovely, table was well presented. Vanessa was so friendly, always willing to answer any questions and very knowledgeable of the area. All areas spotlessly clean and inviting.

Vanessa is the perfect host. Friendly, kind, warming and welcoming. She is attentive and a great host. The beds were comfortable. We stayed in the king room which was at the back of the house. It over looks a lovely garden. Vanessa did make it clear this is off bounds as you have to go through hers to get to it and i honestly be the same. I wouldn't want people trooping through my home. The cooked breakfast was lovely. I like my bacon well done and it did not disappoint. There was a selection of cereals also and milk & orange juice already set up on the table. The coffee came in a cafetiere which was lovely also. Anything we needed, Vanessa was there. The place is on the outskirts of town but only about a 10 minute drive to the beach. We preferred this as there was also actual parking. Makes a difference to some of the other B&B's in the area. Highley recommend Fernlea as a place to stay. We will definitely be returning.

Property was like a home from home. Host was lovely, bed was comfy, breakfast was beautiful. Had everything you needed for a lovely stay. Very clean accommodation. Plenty of space in the front for parking on the drive. I will return!

Shower was a little difficult to adjust with regards to the temperature and then WiFi connection was slow but it didn't affect our stay at all. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Worth a stay

The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The food was to a high standard and prompt service. Staff were more than helpful with any questions we had and adding some useful tips on getting more out of our trip.

The choice at breakfast was on the light side as I prefer to have yoghurt and fruit most of the time, and that wasn't on offer.

If we’re ever back in Weston-super-Ware we’ll be sure to rebook there.

importantly for us it had secure scooter parking in the garage. The rooms were spacious bright and even though is situated on a main road it was really quiet. The full English breakfast was very tasty too!

It was a 45 minute walk to the seafront but there are buses you can use. The owner of the guest house (Vanessa) even drove us into town on our first night.
