A reasonable accommodation in a great mountain area

It is a nice family hotel in a marvelous mountain area near to Schladming. They run also a restaurant. We had half board rate. The room was good and comfortable. The area is very quiet. They found me an internal place where to put my e-bike

One strange thing for us (also if we found later in another hotel) is that they do weekly rest where they shut down the restaurant and mostly also the hotel. They gave us the breakfast but not the dinner that was refunded; to know in advance could be preferable, Breakfast is normal but do not expect too much. In my opinion the cost is slightly excessive if compared with the overall service

GREAT PLACE

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Has a nice and cosy dining room. Breakfasts and dinners were quite adequate. Wifi worked really well. Room size was very good, with a great shower. Location gives easy access to nearby walking trails, although it is still a few kilometres from the town. There is a bus service at the door however it only operates in the morning and afternoon. This accommodation also provides the ‘Summer Card’ which provides free entry to some nearby attractions, and free use of the bus service. This was a very handy card.

Our only complaint was the number of flies that were present in the room, and the dining room. I think though that this is just a side effect of being located in a rural, farming area.

We didn't realise that the hotel didn't pay for the taxi back to the railway station in Schladming. We appreciated the free taxi up to the hotel
