Ristorante Pizzeria Pension Taormina

Auf dem Rückweg von einer einwöchigen Motorradtour in den Alpen habe ich im "Taormina" Station gemacht und war sehr angetan. Ich hatte ein geräumiges Zimmer (mit Bad), mitten in Roßhaupten im schönen Allgäu (in der Nähe des Forggensees) und doch ruhig. Alles war tiptop, sauber und ordentlich. Kein Balkon, aber den brauchte ich auch nicht. Am besten jedoch war und ist, dass sich gleich unten im Haus die Pizzeria der Wirtsleute befindet, wo es natürlich nicht nur Pizza, sondern auch andere Gerichte gibt. Sehr wohlschmeckend, moderate Preise (wie überhaupt das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis dieser Pension hervorragend war). Kleiner Tip: die Pizzeria öffnet um 17:30, und es empfiehlt sich dringend, einen Tisch zu reservieren oder pünktlich noch vor 18:00 da zu sein. Ich hatte den Eindruck, dass es sich beim "Taormina" um eine Art Geheimtip anderer Feriengäste handelt. Also richtig gut besucht, aber keine Angst, die Nachtruhe ist sicher, es ist schon rechtzeitig "Sendeschluß". In Roßhaupten gibt es einen gar nicht mal so kleinen "Nahkauf" für alle Dinge des täglichen Bedarfs, und die Kirchturmglocke sagt einem ganz dezent, was das Stündlein geschlagen hat. Hat mich nicht im geringsten gestört (bei offenem Fenster wg. Wärme geschlafen). Auf dem Foto sieht man die Kirche. Das Frühstück war gut, die Wirtsleute zuvorkommend und freundlich, ich habe einen schönen Kurzaufenthalt gehabt und kann die Pension weiterempfehlen.

Coming by car, it's a must to buy parking space in the parking lot, but getting out of it is an ordeal: trying to find the Ausfahrt, you must turn right before the gate but the opening button is to the left, opposite the gate which you want to open, but the actual opening button is then behind you. You look around the gate with your glasses off because they're for looking far, not near, find a gadget with button-like things, the electric key doesn't work, you work out how to work the chain, open the gate manually, sit into the car, put your glasses on, drive out, complain at check-out, then you're shown the solution on a photo, which shows that the button was behind you all the time. Why in god's name did nobody have the utterly reasonable idea to place the opening button near what you need to open, for god's sake?? The room was also difficult to find after reception was closed - the building you have a room in on the 4th of 5th floor is not where you enter the complex. And the room had almost no facilities except a lone glass and a small soap, which broke into pieces the second you managed to open the paper wrapping. Otherwise, nobody had aired anything in the building, which was thus even hotter than the very warm day.
