Located on a picturesque street leading to the old harbour, Casa Veneta offers Old Town charm plus modern comforts in the recently renovated rooms. Our spacious twin room had very comfortable beds and pillows, a couch, ample storage and a large bathroom with walk in rainhead shower. There was good water pressure and always plenty of hot water. The sink, conveniently located in the sleeping area, had counter space for toiletries. With the window and shutters closed, our room was very quiet. The AC was efficient and quiet, although we rarely used it for our 3-night stay in late October. The host, Stavros, is friendly and very helpful and speaks excellent English. We have stayed at Casa Veneta on previous visits to Chania. Because of the location, comfort, hospitality (including complimentary raki), cleanliness and value, we would never stay anywhere else.

Great location on the old town, so picturesque and with lovely relaxed vibe. Nice cafes and restaurants within easy reach.
The property is wonderful. The parking is more difficult because it’s a very popular part of town but we always found a space in the end, sometimes nearer the hotel than others!

Stavros the host was such a delight! Upon arrival, he texted to check if we checked in alright. He also provided a bunch of local tips, and was very responsive towards any questions I have via WhatsApp - recommended restaurants, local marts... and he shared with me about Sardine Day! (It's a day the locals grill sardines and give it out for free along the beach)
The room was very clean, and was well equipped. There was even a little free bottle of Raki :)
While Casa Veneta is in the old town, it is located more towards the edge of the old town, so it isn't as noisy at night... But you still get the convenience of being walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in the old town.
The room did have quite a bit of steps, and the toilet was on the lower level of the room while the bedroom was on the higher level. I was ok with it, but not ideal for my mum who has trouble walking.

The appartment is well equipped the manager really helpful and friendly and the location is great. We had a great time.
Just be prepared for noise at night because of the location and it could do with a bit of an update.
