Town centre location
Nothing to complain about at all
8 / 10Excellent·Oct 2026
Great location, we arrived later than expected due to traffic but Julie, the landlady waited up to let us in. The rooms were comfy and everything we needed was there. The location is perfect for Louth town and the pub itself was vibrant and busy. Even being above the bar, the noise levels were minimal and there's was free parking on site.
Nothing of note

The cleanliness of my room was excellent, with everything I needed for my stay. The hosts were helpful ,friendly and caring, offering me extra tea, coffee and milk during my stay, which I appreciated - The FREE parking at the rear of the "The Pack Horse" hotel was a surprise bonus.👍🙂
The staircase leading to my room was steep and probably needed an extra hand rail opposite the one already installed- NO problem if you're young, fit and healthy, but if over 70 suffering with dodgy knee joints from playing sport, e.g. playing international squash as I have, or just getting older with arthritis, then YES there could be a problem.

Really good room
Karaoke annoying but really quiet after it finished. No chance of food on site
