We loved the peacefulness and quaintness of the property. The pool was fantastic as well!
There were lots of spiders in the bedroom; we killed them and that was fine. It was very far (30 min walk) from any other restaurant or pharmacy.

The main mansion is a superb old building - the grounds are huge and views are great ! We stayed in the new wing that has comfortable simple modern hotel rooms. Breakfast in the old building is nice. The staff is more like hotel staff style.

Historic building, with beautiful gardens and great location. Pleasant living rooms with fireplaces and comfortable rooms. Very good and tasty dinner and friendly staff.
Could provide expresso coffee for breakfast.

We had dinner there and we were the only people in the dining room . That is not their fault .
We were offered one entree - cod .That was fine but it turned out to be a gratin of cod which was all cream and you couldn't see/ taste any cod . It was terrible . The creme brulee dessert was like soup - again terrible. They would do better to offer a creme caramel custard instead . The woman who greeted us when we first arrived was happy and friendly - very helpful .
The next day at breakfast was the MOST unfriendly person . She never said good morning and acted ANNOYED that we were there. She checked us out and never said - have a nice day - Bom Camino We were in the most expensive room. I have no problem paying for service but a smile goes a long way.
