Lovely place!

Restaurant was very good indeed. Elegant interior.

I got bitten by mosquitos - the fly curtains had gaps. The gym / pool closes at 7pm or 8pm a 10pm close would be nice, but I assume quite difficult to maintain.

Single rooms are spacious and had an amazing view of the river.

Amazingly grand property. Breakfast was fresh and had a lot of variety.

Couldn’t find the outside sauna or pool. Not well sign posted.

An elegant hotel to step into thermal history

The spa was one of the best hotel spas, i particularly liked the roman and herbal steam baths, the outside jaccuzzi and resting area, and the inside thermal pool. The bar and the restaurant were nice too, the breakfast has a nice selection and the view from the terrace on the river. The hotel is very tastefully decorated and well locared at the heart of the town. Staff was polite and helpful. When i arrived from the staggering heath of a long train journey, joining a free yoga class under a beautifully painted high ceiling was like stepping into a refreshing oasis.

I noticed that the wallpaper in my room replicates the motive of an elegant couple accompanied by a enslaved black page boy - while the colours are beautiful, i found the imagery shocking and worth rethinking.

A marvellous stay in a historic place where lots of famous guests had stayed

I loved the architecture, furniture, chandeliers, art and wellness area including the beautiful pool with its lovely decoration on the ceiling. Breakfast was very good with a number of healthy items and their restaurant is magnificent. I felt like transported back in time and loved it.

Wonderful stop over on way to the Alps

I had a wonderful luxury experience in Häcker's Grand Hotel Bad Ems. Everything was clean, staff was helpful & friendly. The premises were just wow! beautiful. The wellness area was big enough to accommodate guests & there was more than enough space for every visitor. The water temperature in the pool was very comfortable. Same with the wirlpool. The hotel is very central. If you want to eat outside, there are many good restaurants/cafes nearby. I will be returning. Thank you.

I would have liked & needed the directions within the hotel; to the restaurant for breakfast, to the pool & wellness area, to the Ayurveda clinic & restaurant. I was getting lost everyday. I could have been written in the elevator, on the very long floors, or in the room. I had to ask other guests, in case I met any. Yes, I was given (verbally) the directions on the day of my arrival.

Amazing hotel, perfect for relaxing

Fantastic hotel, the interior is amazing! Staff are very helpful and always cheerful. Swimming pool and saunas are brilliant and perfect for relaxing. The area the hotel is in it’s stunning! Plenty of restaurants nearby if you don’t want to eat at hotel. I had a room on the second floor with a river view. I had a balcony which was very relaxing. Highly recommend this hotel.

No shower screen so bathroom like a swimming pool after a shower.

A beautiful hotel in a prime location.

The breakfast choices and quality are very much appreciated, the dinner less so. We were allowed to use the wellness area after we had checked out, which was helpful.

We were asked if we were half board clients, but half board was never offered to us. The steam rooms were all closed because of Covid , whereas in the wellness area of a swimming pool in Cologne they were all open. The swimming pool is fairly small and there was no staff in the wellness area.

Rooms with a river view very pleasant. I was lucky and got a nice balcony too. Staff lovely

The rooms on the ‘Bergseite’ were very poor. My friend had one, with a view of a moldy cement wall. And it was only €10 cheaper than mine. Decor was old fashioned and a bit musty.

Ein gelungenes Geburtstagsgeschenk mit dem Ziel ein besonderes Wochenende zu erleben.

Ein richtiges Grand Hotel im klassischen Sinn. Zimmer, Bett, Ausstattung. Feinste Materialien, viel Holz, viel Marmor, jedes Detail stimmt. Selbst alle Türbeschälge sind aufwendig und aus Messing. Eben alles bis ins Detail von Feisten, aber natürlich auch alles ein bisschen überladen. Und selbst die Senior Chefin schaut, sehr charmant, nach dem Rechten. Das Restaurant ist sehr gut. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Das Schimmbad/Therme ist leider recht klein.

Das Gebäude hatte mich gereizt anzusehen. Wäre ich nicht erkrankt, hätte ich sehr gerne an der Führung teilgenommen.

Eine Elektroautoladestation wäre schön gewesen. Diese Möglichkeit hatte Häckers in Bad Bertrich.

Naja, war Ok

Schöne Lage des Hotels, Zentral gelegen. Schönes altes Gebäude, nettes Personal das sehr bemüht ist. Großer Saunabereich.

Für ein Hotel dieser Kategorie und Preisklasse, erwartet man eigentlich mehr. Die Einrichtung ist doch schon sehr verlebt. Das Duschwasser war Morgens Eiskalt und die Heizkörper waren abgestellt, ziemlich kalt bei - 5 Grad im Badezimmer. Man überprüft am Tag der Ankunft nicht als erstes ob die Heizung angestellt ist, denke um Winter sollte diese schon für den Gast angestellt sein, da auch das Aufheizen Recht lange dauert. Das Frühstücksbuffet bot alles soweit, allerdings nichts besonderes was ein 1 Sterne Hotel nicht auch anbieten würde. In der Hauseigenen Therme war es irgendwie Recht kühl, das Jacuzzi war leider ein Kalt Sprudelbecken. Alles in allem täuscht das Luxuriöse Äußere, was das ganze im Inneren bietet und dies war leider Enttäuschend. Vielleicht ist es in der heutigen Zeit einfach auch nicht mehr möglich, ein Haus in dieser Größenordnung vernünftig zu unterhalten.
