best ever hotel ever stayed on every level

we have stayed in many top hotels across the world and Hotel Maximilian tops them all!!! the hotel is owned and run by a young lady who took over the reigns when her father passed away in April 2025, and she is running a very efficient hotel which is extremely friendly and we felt like part of their family. the chef produced some excellent food day in day out. Marcello the maitre D was everywhere each and everyday even on his day off. The gardener and his team keep the grounds in excellent condition and it is wonderful to lay on sunbeds under the shade of many olive trees. By no means last, Elisabetha the receptionist made us welcome on arrival and stepped up when i was taken ill and organised a doctor immediately to resolve things. The team behind the new owner are dedicated beyond any call of duty, they do it for love and it shows!! it was an absolute joy to stay in such a beautiful hotel with excellent dedicated team of staff. The views of the lake are wonderful and it is just superb. thank you hotel Maximilian, we cannot wait to return, but this time i will fly, the drive was too much.

Lovely stay! We would return again.

The room was large and had an amazing view. Everything was very clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was exceptional. They offered so many choices to eat from the buffet. Overall a wonderful experience!

Magnificent location on Lake Garda with 360 degrees views

A luxurious accommodation within a magnificent setting. The staff were attentive with the right balance of helpfulness and calm. Beds were comfortable. Everything was impeccable. Food was delicious. Great access to the lake. Great location for further adventures. Splendid.

Lovely, relaxing place.

Breakfast was lovely, staff friendly & helpful, nice gardens, location right by the lake was excellent and quieter than other areas nearby, which suited us. Beautiful area right by the mountains. Town was a 15min walk away or there were buses. Quiet and relaxing.

People smoking in the eating areas - even though this was outside it still affected us and was unpleasant.

absolutely superb location, best on the lake, we felt we made a great choice. Beautiful gardens in grounds, excellent pool and on the beach. All of the staff were superb, reception, breakfast waiters, room attendants and bar staff. We booked bed and breakfast, the breakfast is excellent, something for everyone and replenished throughout the service non stop. If we return to Lake Garda we will most definitely stay here again.

The gym could have been a little better with equipment, but mainly could use an air conditioning unit as it was very hot.

We would like to have a la carte dinner options as we are not fond of big food in the evening (dinner 7-9 pm, full menu only), but there are many local restaurants to solve this.

Superb

Quite old hotel with a nice swimming pool area and a view from its restaurant. We had a garden view from our balcony, which was quite a disappointment for the price that we paid. Obviously you expect more paying 300€ per night. The breakfast was nice though but in general I wouldn’t recommend this place as in my opinion the price is too high for what they offer.

Beautiful hotel directly at the lake

The hotel is very pretty and clean, the staff is friendly. It has two pools, one indoors that is heated. It also has private parking available. And the best: the restaurant is DELICIOUS!! We had been in Italy for more than a week when we arrived, and really the best dinners of our trip, we had them at the hotel. Congratulations to the chef and to all the hotel staff for making our stay a lovely time!

Lovely hotel and great location

Big rooms, Lovely views and facilities, felt very modern and kept nice compared to other hotels on the lake we visited. Fab location with a beautiful 25 min walk into Malcesine. Staff were really helpful. Cleaners coming regularly which was great.

Beds weren't very comfy however they was manageable and weren't outweighed by the beautiful views and the large room. Also there was only 1 English Channel on the TV. Could've also done with some refreshments water etc in the room but that's just being picky :)

Nach dem Zimmer Wechsel ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt, die Lage am See war perfekt.

Die Dame an der Rezeption hat einen super Service gemacht, da wir das erste Zimmer nicht akzeptiert haben, wegen ausgebreitetem Schimmel in der ganzen Dusche, hat sie alles versucht, uns ein bereits renoviertes Zimmer zu geben, was am Tag darauf dann auch geklappt hat. 👍🏻 … diese Zimmer war sehr schön und mit bester Lage 😁 Das Frühstück war sehr gut; diverse Eiervariationen wurden frisch zubereitet.

Diverse Zimmer sind noch nicht renoviert, wenn man so eines erhält, wird sich die Freude über den Aufenthalt dämpfen.

Sehr schönes gepflegtes Hotel auch für gehobene Ansprüche!

Die Lage am See und die grünen Terrassen mit Pool sehr schön und auch wunderbar gepflegt! Frühstück mit Blick auf den See herrlich mit frisch zubereiteten Eierspeisen ! Das Abendessen war so ausserordentlich gut, dass man dachte im Haubenlokal zu speisen!

Für einen entspannten Urlaub ein top Hotel in traumhafteer Kulisse.

Tolles großzügiges Zimmer, sauber, mit großem Balkon ausgestattet. Von dort grandioser Ausblick auf den Segelhagen in Malcesine und auf den Gardasee. Üppiges Frühstück. Kann drinnen sowie auf der Terrasse mit Seeblick eingenommen werden. Relativ einfache aber immerhin Fahrräder zur freien Verfügung, zB um in die Innenstadt zu radeln. Ein schöner Ort, jedoch ruhiger als Riva. Fitnessraum vorhanden. Sehr freundliches Personal. Man kann in kurzer Zeit mit der Fähre nach Limone schippern.

Solch Luxus hat seinen Preis. 🤭 Ein generelles Problem am Gardasee ist der Verkehr, besonders in Ferienzeiten. Für manche Unternehmungen muss man von Malcesine längere Fahrzeiten in Kauf nehmen.

Einfach toll, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Wir hatten ein außergewöhnlich schönes großes Zimmer mit Seeblick, sehr großzügigem Balkonund einem Superbad mit Whirlpool! Frühstück und Abendessen waren phantastisch. Das gesamte Personal gut gelaunt und freundlich!

Perfekte Ferien am Gardasee

Die Lage am Gardasee war super. Das Hotel liegt direkt am See mit Privatstrand. Es hat auch eine grosse hoteleigene Wiese mit einigen Liegen. Wir hatten ein Eckzimmer und somit eine perfekte Sicht auf den Gardasee. Das Essen war sehr gut. Für 35 € konnte man am Abend ein sehr feines 5-Gang-Menu reservieren. Besonders positiv: Es standen mehrere Varianten des 5-Gang-Menüs zur Auswahl. Wir können das Hotel nur empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder. Das nächste Mal etwas länger.

Bei der Ankunft war der Boden nicht gut gereinigt. Es hatte noch Haare, Staub und Sand in den Ecken und teilweise im Bad. Wir haben der Reception angerufen und es gemeldet. Sie entschuldigten sich höflich und haben danach tiptop sauber gemacht. Wir waren dann wieder sehr zufrieden. Die sanitären Anlagen und das Bett waren von Beginn an sehr sauber. Die Kellner wirkten manchmal etwas gestresst und dadurch etwas unfreundlich. War aber nicht immer so.

Schönes Appartement mit Balkon. Ruhig. Sauber. Schöner Garten. Pool sehr frisch. Sonnenkollektor ? Schöne Anlage mit Seezugang. Parkplatz überdacht und über Nacht verschlossen. Sehr schöne Lage.

Hele mooie kamer. Hele mooie locatie, lungolago 25 minuten lopen naar Malcesine, mooie wandeling. goed restaurant met uitzicht, super ontbijt.
