Dolphin House

Great host. Brilliant very old building and we had a huge apartment. Lounge, bedroom and bathroom. Terrific breakfast, great gardens. Huge new bathroom, amazing soft towels:) Really well catered for, even got gluten free crumpets for me. Really lovely place to stay.

Parking the car was really tricky but I managed it. Huge car small parking area. Not a lot of places to walk to for food but small shop within short walk. Private bathroom is up a flight of stairs.

Exceptional property in many ways. It was like traveling in a time tunnel back into late 1600, early 1700s England. Very well retained classic ambiance of that era, yet a very comfortable stay with all the necessary comfort. Very kind and caring hosts, Jane and George. The property has Amazing garden features. Very delicious, balanced breakfast .Extremely relaxing location with tranquil landscape, ideal for escaping noisy environments. Close to Historic Bath city easliy by public transport , while free parking facility of the property saved alot of parking issuses in the city. This has been very memorable stay for me and my wife as we celebrated her birthday we considered ourselves lucky to have this break in a very authentic hotel . Many mainstream hotels we have stayed in could not match Dolphin.

It was a stunning period property with beautiful well kept features.

It was convenient for catching the bus to Bath.

The little living room and bedroom were not cosy, and even with all the shutters closed it was very draughty, It needed curtains in both rooms. The lounge radiator was supplement by a blow heater in the hearth. The large bathroom had only a blow heater. Breakfast was in the orangery and accessed by going outside, and again, heated with a low power electric heater. This accommodation would be ok in warm weather but definitely not in December.
