Excellent location a few minutes walk to the city walls. Very friendly family run traditional hotel. Lovey terrace where you can eat your own food. Good value bar. Clean and comfortable.

Like a visit to a family home.

The entrance from the parking lot has a welcoming atmosphere. The owners are helpful and understanding. They let us to leave the car and we didn’t need to pay for a parking spot after we checked out. I’m sure it depends on the possibility but it was such a nice gesture. Breakfast has options better than many area and not so limited.

I would definitely stay here again.

Friendly helpful staff, a comfortable clean room, a good breakfast. Quiet, too. The terrace was lovely to use in the evening, and I also valued the aircon and the elevator. Good places to eat nearby patronised by locals.

I liked the location but it won’t suit everyone. Just outside the walls away from the tourist area. A 20 minute walk to the train station or a short bus ride there.

Welcoming family run hotel Melecchi

A lovely family run hotel with very welcoming owners. Great breakfast, comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Lovely outdoor terrace area. Drinks available from the small bar area. Great location, only 6 minutes walk to city walls.

Shower was very small, no hairdryer or coffee making facilities in bedroom.

Cosy traditional hotel, not too long a walk from the centre of Lucca. Very friendly family run establishment. The owner’s son gave us a lift to the railway station on our departure, which was as welcome as it was unexpected. Good people.

Exceptional

Visited Lucca which is surrounded by wall ,for 1 night. Hotel Melecchi is a short walk from train station and walled city. The staff were so lovely especially as we were able to leave our luggage there. They told us what to see and what to do in that time frame. Room was extremely comfortable, cool and quiet

A cosy hotel for two days in Lucca.

Although it is only 2 stars hotel, the experience of staying there is surprisingly pleasing. Comfortable bed, air conditioning and quiet - this is best description of the room. Breakfast is rich as for the price of 5€. Localisation is perfect. Free parking in the backyard. Very friendly staff, English speaking. Lots of antiques, cosy terrace make the hotel a very cosy one.

Some refresh could be done in the room, but everything is working and it is clean.

*The staff were lovely. I'd stay again just for the staff *The bed itself was fairly comfortable. *The aircon worked well. *The room was large and comfy. *Toiletries provided for - we even took our towels and had an impromptu beach day, fresh were provided without even asking. *Cute balcony courtyard area. *Parking! *Easy buses into the historic centre - even on the national holidays.

*Pillows were horrid and gave us a neck related headache (him) migraine (me) the next day. *It would have been nice to have a little fridge, kettle, etc. But the bar is literally around the corner so it's not horrid, just a personal preference to have coffee as soon as I wake up. *Cleaning wasn't wonderful - we found long red hair (I'm short brunette) by the side of the sofa. Plastic razor cap was still in our bathroom from the previous guests. But overall it looked like it had been wiped down well.

I really enjoyed Our stay in Lucca. The hotel is located in the Centre of Lucca, close to the city walls. Our room was very nice, extremely clean. The staff were really helpful and friendly, offered advice on where to go, what to see etc. For sure we’ll come back!

Excellent hotel very close to Lucca centre.

It was clean, had parking and a good breakfast. Also only 15 minutes walk from Lucca centre. the staff were very friendly and cheerful. The air conditioning worked well too.

Superb

A superb traditional hotel. Very comfortable with helpful staff - members of the family who have run the hotel for 100 years. Very good breakfast and lovely outside terrace. Perfectly positioned just outside the town walls with a Lidl supermarket a hundred yards away.

Very homey feel in a small personal hotel.

A small lovely family run hotel - felt like being in someone's home. Lovely patio at the back to sit and enjoyt a coffee. Superb walking location to the walls and old city and plenty of parking.

Bathrooms were made for disabled people which was good but very small shower.
