Location with beautiful sea view, comfortable beds, pet friendly

Fantastic location but a little disappointing for the price

The apartment was easy walking distance from the port but still felt peaceful and secluded. The terrace had a fantastic view of the bay and we particularly loved watching bats fly by and listening to nightjars calling nearby in the evenings. The apartment was spacious and the bedroom was really comfortable and nicely finished. The shower was also really powerful. We also found a very small winery just two doors down - we called the number on the sign and the owner Mario opened a small garage unit where he siphoned off his homemade wine for us into 1.5l water bottles (glass bottles are an option for a slightly higher price) - 3-4 euros per litre for some excellent wine (the red was our favourite) - perfect to purchase and drink on the terrace!

We were initially very disappointed with the apartment when we entered the lounge with the kitchenette - the space was poorly lit and felt like a hostel (very basic and tired looking furnishings). The kitchenette wasn't dirty as such but felt in need of a deep clean. There was no coffee machine and things left in the cupboard that seemed like they had been left behind by previous guests rather then provided (e.g., there were opened packets of coffee but no coffee machine or facility to make 'proper' coffee). Although we loved the terrace, the furniture was cheap and in need of a clean. Some of the plug sockets also didn't work. Although the shower was powerful, it didn't drain properly so there was a time limit on showering before facing a risk of flooding the apartment! This was the most expensive apartment we stayed at while island hopping (Korcula, Lastovo, and Miljet) but our least favourite. The nearby Dragavoda Bay was also disappointing - the pebble beach was littered with broken glass but there are still nice swimming spots either side and some great snorkeling to be done. Not the fault of the apartment but worth mentioning here.
