Very nice location

We were upgraded to a very nice apartment in another property on the square - a lovely location only a few minutes walk from the beach. The welcome was very nice and the rainshower was exceptional. Breakfast was good too, served to the table, though the lack of butter and jam for the bread and croissants was rather odd.

It could definitely have been cleaner. The bathroom tiles and toilet seat needed attention.

A town full of joy - a property full of style!

What a beautiful positioned property! Felt so luxurious and friendly! I was able to check in early, which I was extremely grateful for (and less than a 7 minute walk from station) Thank You!

A repetitive machine like sound throughout the night and curtains too light didn't aid for a good night's sleep... Nonetheless I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property in a town most definitely full of joy!

All in all we liked it enough to extend the stay for another two nights.

Great location and bed was very comfortable.

The bathroom was not very convenient having a partial glass wall. On top floor WiFi was absent most of time.

Great place, will definitely return.

Loved it so much actually extended our stay another two days. Truth to be told had rooms facing cozy but somewhat noisy square, which was perfectly fine with soundproofing and multi-glazed windows in place.

Partially glassed wall to the bathroom and getting into/out of the shower is quite inconvenient. On the top floor WiFi is absent.

Wonderful bar opposite hotel serving drinks and organic food. Lovely and very friendly staff serving great food and drin

The hotel is located in the old town in a square by the church. The entire building has been restored beautifully retaining original features but with a modern feel. Room was amazing, spacious and functional with incredible bathroom and Juliet balcony. I will stay nowhere else when I return to Villajoyosa.

Pleasant stay in sister accommodation

There was an issue in that our room at Rosal hadn’t been made up ready for our stay. Instead, we were offered an alternative room at the sister accommodation Hotel Castelar in the square. The suite we were given was large, beautiful and clean. We were pleased with how helpfully the hotel management resolved the issue. The location is lovely, in a picturesque square a short walk from the seafront (via the riverside route or through the colourful houses).

Our only issue was with the see-through en-suite door opposite the bed, which didn’t allow for privacy.

We made the most of our stay despite negatives.

The location was good and met our expectations. The little plaza in which the apartment was situated was lovely with a short walk to the beach.

The WiFi didn't always work. If I went down and sat in reception it drifted in. The noise from the road below and food take away shops was loud. We had a city view avoid if you want to sleep and the toilet cistern ran all the time.

Location was good in between the sea and the old town.

Not for people who are not able to walk up and down steep inclines. Shower toilet area needs some tlc shower door leaking onto floor, sink plug broken. Needs more cleanliness and the door frame of toilet is rotten with water leaking onto it.

Isabel the host was helpful and gave excellent instructions to find. Room was spotless, well located and good finishes. I left my makeup kit behind and as I rushed back form train to get it, they were already trying to alert me. Excellent customer service

It was advertised on booking.com as only adults and to be quiet between 10PM and 8AM...and was blissfully quiet the first two nights as the restaurant below was closed. But the third night was very noisy until after midnight.

We’ve been lots of times before and it is very well located, very modern, and usually very clean.

The room was slightly tired and not as clean as previously. Property has passed in two different hands and it’s really just an online booking system rather than a friendly local service. There is also no breakfast.

Relaxing stay in a beautiful hotel!

What a fantastic hotel! Fantastic location in the Old Town, in a little placa with restaurants and the church! 2 minute walk from the beach. We arrived via tram from Alicante and it was only 5 min walk from the tram stop at La Vila Joiosa! Air conditioning was very effective and quiet, and so appreciated in the heat of summer! Large room and bathroom. Comfy beds and pillows and extra duvets. Fridge and safe in room. Isabel is the most amazing host - fantastic comms from booking to checkin and out! Anything you need she can organise - any time!! We would not hesitate to return!
