Rosal by Seaward Suites

The building is beautiful, in the perfect location in La Plaza d’Iglesia, right in the centre of the old town, and only 5-10 mins walk to Villajoyosa’s beautiful beach. Our little balcony overlooked the beautiful square and church. The square has two bars which both do great food, where you can spend hours sipping coffee or beer, people watching. And an Italian restaurant is right opposite where the food was also delicious! The customer service was excellent, all via WhatsApp, which they responded to immediately whenever we had any issue. We asked for a late check out as our flight time changed, and customer service happily accommodated us very quickly. We also specifically asked for a room higher up as the property is on square, and with their best view, which we got. But there was no noise disturbance from the square anyway once the window was closed.

The air con was a bit random, although we did get it working eventually. We saw the engineer as we left so maybe there was an issue while we were staying. The beds are super firm and the pillows like a sort of inflatable balloon which I found really uncomfortable and I couldn’t actually sleep on! So I ditched it. But despite this we both actually slept really well.

Great location in plaza iglesia. Lovely renovated old building. Check in very efficient. Room lovely and clean. Breakfast basic but fine.

It would have been nice to have had more than 1 tea bag. Also when I was told that breakfast would be served in a different hotel I had assumed this was in their restaurant but they didn’t have a restaurant. Instead breakfast was served outside on the plaza. This was absolutely fine but it might be better to tell people.

The location was good and met our expectations. The little plaza in which the apartment was situated was lovely with a short walk to the beach.

The WiFi didn't always work. If I went down and sat in reception it drifted in. The noise from the road below and food take away shops was loud. We had a city view avoid if you want to sleep and the toilet cistern ran all the time.
