Stayed here before the Open in Portrush. The reception staff were so lovely and accommodating.

Food was awful. I did ask to speak with the chef, I am also a chef and was quite shocked that a chef with a menu that was written so eloquently would send out food that was so bad. I was shocked. My requests were ignored to speak with the chef.

loud party until 1 below our room. 2 night slater a party in neighbouring rooms went on until 430 despite complaints ot reception. No duty managers on site or reachable. No response back from Hotel to our raised concerns so far.

We did not enjoy our stay as much as the last time.

Beautiful setting. Room was spacious & very clean. Evening meal main course very good, but dessert disappointing.

The ‘front of house’ staff were very unwelcoming. Not what we expected from the Tullyglass. We were a group of 5 OAP’s & we all felt very unwelcome. Most of the other staff were polite. The lounge bar & dining room were very cold in the evening. The ‘Pavlova ‘ was very poor.meringue with cream & fruit. Not what we expected from a Hotel like the Tullyglass.

Disappointed, very noisey expensive night with no sleep

We were greeted warmly by reception staff and our carvery dinner was good and again serving staff friendly and helpful. The original room was spacious with all amenities, perhaps a little dated but comfortable clean and 2 good sized double beds Breakfast was a buffet and was good, only disappointment was that my daughters thought, from online menus, that there was crepes/pancakes and we were told this wasn’t the case and not available

We stayed in room 130 initially. I had sent a message prior to staying to see if a quiet room was possible. When we went to the room after dinner every hour on the hour some kind of water system clicked on and ran for between 10-15 mins involving very clunky loud water pipes, gushing water and a pump type noise I thought perhaps this would stop at a certain time overnight but when it was still happening after midnight and none of us were able to sleep I called reception. They did arrange for us to move rooms and claimed they didn’t know anything about this. The room we moved to was another family room but this room had a fan or AC unit running outside the windows. This was constant but still more acceptable as you could eventually get used to this. I did video/ record the problem both overnight and in the morning should staff want to know what the problem was. Unfortunately in the morning when checking out no one asked how our stay was or addressed the problem we had overnight. I don’t like leaving a negative review without the opportunity for people to respond to a complaint so I contacted them by email to the website address and after 1 week of no reply or acknowledgment I tried through booking.com and still nothing I would be concerned that as a family staying this is not ok, it is not a cheap hotel at £230 for one night it was quite an expense for us to have little to no sleep and no explanation. I would not want others to have the same experience and would caution your stay or certainly ensure not staying in these rooms. I’m disappointed that somewhere with a good reputation and from friends who have good reports that they don’t even try to apologise or explain same and that’s why I felt no choice but to warn others against the potential pitfalls

Very enjoyable.

The grounds were lovely. All downstairs of hotel very modern. Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful.

Dinner in hotel was very expensive. Upstairs carpet in corridor needs upgrading. Rooms a little outdated. Handbasins and taps need upgrading but still added a certain charm. Overall we had an enjoyable stay.

We all enjoyed the food, bedrooms, & facilities of the Hotel BUT the ‘front of house staff’ were very unwelcoming.

Our bedroom with large & very comfortable. All areas were very clean. The refurbished areas were beautiful. The breakfast had great choices, & all very tasty. Our evening meal was very good.

Best hotel I've stayed in, in a long time.

Phillipa on reception made our stay incredible. I'll keep this short and sweet by saying we stay travel a lot for work and stay in various hotels week-in, week-out. Therefore, it takes a lot for a hotel to really impress me and this place blew me away. The rooms, the food, and the level of service we experienced were second to none. Absolutely top notch.

Lovely wedding venue, poor accommodation

We stayed at the hotel as wedding guests. The wedding venue, food and staff were exceptional. The accommodation was terrible.

We paid £205 for a residence superior room. The room we got was not a residence superior room. The windows in the room had obscured glass, they looked out onto a flat roof with other rooms looking in. The electrics in the room were not safe, the wall socket was a round pin socket and there was a 4 plug extension lead on the dressing table. The bathroom floor had a drain which we considered to be a tripping hazard. There was some sort of brown liquid seeping up through the bathroom tiles. In the corridor leading up to the room the floor was on 2 levels with a single line of yellow tape along the step to highlight the change in floor level. We heard several thuds during the night with guests tripping/falling down the step.

Great hotel and amazing staff with the exception of the mature lady working in the kitchen

The staff on the whole were amazing but on Sat. morning there was a member of the kitchen staff, a mature lady who was very rude and dismissive to another member of the catering team who started to make my omelet. He was incredibly friendly, helpful and started to make my omelet but she came from the kitchen pulled a very aggressive face at him, said something to him which I did not hear, he apologised to me for not being in a position to finish cooking my food, he then went back into the kitchen, she pulled another face to me, rolling her eyes and nodding towards him. I refused to engage with her as there was nothing he had done to warrant her rudeness. The gentleman was a man of colour and I would say her behaviour was racist !

Had to be booked in before 11pm, tried to get water at the bar but barman said bar was closed, only needed water as the room didn’t have any, for £150 and not even a complementary bottle of water is bad. I’ve stayed in a lot cheaper hotels that have water in the rooms.

We stayed in a superior room as that was the only room left at the time of booking, the room itself was huge and beautiful. Breakfast was also a smooth process which was tasty.

When checking into the hotel the staff were really unprofessional borderline cheeky, myself and my brother who was also checking in with his girlfriend noticed the lady was snappy and were commenting on other guests in a negative way while we were standing there. Wasn't great first impressions. The room cost £195 and we stayed a Wednesday night, this seemed very overpriced for a 3 star hotel midweek stay.

Staff was very nice. The grounds, common areas and food were also very good.

The hotel does not put any money in the guest rooms. We did not even have mirror in our room except small one over tiny sink in bathroom. Water pressure was extremely low. Overall rooms are way over priced for the old bedding, stained carpet and lack of amenities, not even a bottle of water left in room we had to haul pitcher of water from bar. Again staff and food and common areas top notch but rooms were extremely disappointing.

Enjoyable overnight stay

We were made very welcome at Tullyglass by the reception staff who found us the most suitable room. It was comfortable and we enjoyed eating in the restaurant where we met some friends who were attending the same event in the hotel the following day. We were allowed to delay our checkout until noon which was much more convenient for my wife.

My wife is disabled and we requested a room with a walk-in shower. The only one is in the bridal suite which fortunately was available. There are stairs to the upper floors and no lift. I would not recommend the hotel for guests with limited mobility.
