Beyond all expectations!

An experience beyond all expectations. First of all, the location: a beautiful 18th-century stone palace, full of character and perfectly restored. We truly appreciated the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the room, tastefully furnished with great attention to detail and very well lit. The highlight of our stay, however, was the host’s welcome: exceptionally kind, genuinely caring, and incredibly helpful - not polite in a formal way, but sincerely warm. She welcomed us with local delicacies and treated us with the affection of a true Italian mother. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back!

The room was fully stocked breakfast and wonderful homecooked treats. They even had gluten-free snacks. Maddalena is wonderful host and the location is perfectly situated in the heart of Aosta.

Parking is a challenge if you have a rental car.

Go and enjoy! It’s wonderful

The hostess Maddalena is wonderful. Location is the best on a no car street. Can walk everywhere. Room was perfect. The fridge was stocked and a great pod coffee maker was perfect. Bathroom had everything we needed and more. We will be back!

Wonderful room, delightful host, the best experience

The host was delightful and gave us a friendly welcome. The room is beautiful and so comfortable with every possible extra - a fridge stocked with delicious treats and a coffee machine and home made apple tart on arrival.

Charming, comfortable heritage accommodation in the pedestrian centre of Aoste.

Comfortable king sized bed. Pleasant large room and bathroom. Coffee and Tea facilities, fridge and fruit etc. Excellent location to explore Aoste on foot.

Guests must be able to climb stairs, reasonable mobility required.

Excellent place to stay and the generous host provides warm hospitality

Beautifully decorated and maintained property with warmest hospitality

It’s in a pedestrian zone and parking is either in nearby piazza or the hotel can arrange private parking at a reasonable cost, about 10 minutes’ walk away. The Domus is on the first floor so it’s necessary to take luggage etc up a flight of stairs. On one night there was very loud music in the street below and it went on until about 30 minutes past midnight. Not the fault of the owner of Domus

The best stay of our entire Italian Holiday!

Our stay was wonderful. The property is in a great location. Very central, and conveniently close to all the restaurants and shops. The room is nice and quiet as it is well insulated. A couple of small but important points we noticed were that the air conditioning and the refrigerator were quiet so we were able to sleep peacefully. The welcome was fantastic and the information from Maddalena was amazing. The fruits and cake a lovely touch. I would highly recommend Domus Antica Aosta to anyone.

Perfect in many ways!

The property is located on the Main Street, but the apartment is quiet, safe & secure. The bed was comfortable & bathroom very modern and room nicely decorated. The fresh fruit platter, pastries, yogurt, milk, chocolate, snacks, coffee machine were extra perks!❤️

Aosta Hospitality

Lovely, comfortable room with a nice view of the pedestrian street below. The in-room breakfast was tasty and convenient 😋 The proprietors, Madeline and her husband, are the nicest, kindest, sweetest people we could ever hope to meet; absolutely delightful.

The only thing we didn't like about our street facing room was a noisy bar a few doors away down the street playing loud music until midnight. A room at the back is recommended.

Perfect for our stay in Aosta 😊

A friendly welcome by Maddalena and Alfonso on our arrival. The room was lovely and very comfortable. Large bathroom with great walk in shower. Snacks and delicious cake were provided at no extra charge. A secure parking option (at a small extra charge) was offered a short walk away which worked out very well. Location very central and convenient for everything.

Lovely stay

The Diana suite was absolutely lovely; nicely decorated, quiet and very comfortable. The host was absolutely lovely as well, and made us feel very welcome. We were provided with fresh frusits from their garden and a well-sorted mini-bar with Prosecco, yoghurts and chocolates. It was beyond and above all of our expectations!

Superb Host & Room in a beautiful town

Madeline is the perfect host. A great welcome with some nice extra "gifts" I won't spoil it for folks! She and her team were very attentive during our short stay. The room is a good size, quality, tasteful fittings, everything you need is provided including a small fridge. Aosta is a beautiful small town (the center) with a lot of Roman history. Not to be missed. Cafe & restaurant prices are a fraction of what we were paying in Chamonix the week before. Tourism has not fully got going, so a lot of menus etc don't have English, but it makes it more fun :) The people are very welcoming and we will definitely visit again.

Hospitable, well appointed, charming and central.

The owners were incredible! The room was mountain-rustic charming and well appointed with many extras (Madelene made apple strudel with apples from her tree). High quality linens, a mini refrigerator with refreshments, fruit and yoghurt, cookies and good quality coffee and tea, modern fixtures in the bathroom, two different pillow types on a comfortable large bed, air-conditioning... we could not have felt better provided for in this cozy abode.

The property is inside the historic walking area so there is not parking. A large public lot is located in a nearby piazza which requires an app or coin euros. Have coins available for the ticket machine. As this is centrally located to walk Aosta, you will not need to move your car.
