Palazzo De Cupis - Suites and View

Simply sensational. Ultimate wow factor. From entering through the green doors it was like nothing I’ve experienced before. Covered all the basics as well, comfy beds, excellent air con which was needed during the heat wave. Loved this stay and would recommend to anyone.

At one point the shower appeared to run out of hot water. Not really a problem as it was 37 degrees outside

Location and view of Piazza Novana was great. Staff was very helpful and kind and they served a nice continental breakfast. The place has been nicely updated and is clean. The bed was comfortable.

If you have issues with stairs this might not be the place for you as they had no elevator and you have to carry your suitcase up some stairs. Also, this is not a staffed hotel. The assistant is only there during certain hours. They charge pretty healthy fees ($150) for checking in out of the normal time frame. However we checked in during the afternoon after their regular hours and the accomodated us at no charge. Finally, bed was comfortable but pillows were not. They had one really puffy pillow and a super hard flat pillow.

Lovely small, quiet hotel with a view of the Piazza Navona. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was modern and efficient. Francesca and staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is in a great spot near Piazza Navona, which is ideal for walking around the city. However, there were several frustrating aspects that really took away from the experience.

First, the listing mentions parking, but this is quite misleading. There is no on-site parking — it’s a paid public garage across the river, about a 15-minute walk away, and it’s expensive. On top of that, they don’t mention that the entire city center is part of an ultra low emissions zone (ZTL), so most vehicles aren’t even allowed to drive in. If you’re arriving by car, it’s a headache. Second, they charge a €20 fee for check-in after 7pm. We arrived just before 7, but by the time we finished paying the city tax, it was 7:01 — and they still charged the late check-in fee. There was no flexibility, and it felt unfair. Lastly, the check-in counter is only open in the morning, and you have to message them to arrange anything outside of that window — which is not clearly communicated in advance. In short, the location is great, but the misleading parking info, hidden restrictions, and inflexible check-in policies made for a disappointing stay.
