Great base for hiking in the Eifel

Great location in a pretty village. The hotel just reopened four weeks ago, and the new owners are really really nice, friendly and helpful.

Nice location overlooking the lake. Clean room and linen.

BEWARE!! When checking out the host informed that major credit cards(visa, MasterCard, Amex) not accepted due to charges. Cash only! However, an active card machine was visible on the reception desk. Fortunately my wife and I just had enough cash to cover the cost. No receipt given. Most inconvenient.

Good location but noisy at night

The location was amazing.

It was calm during the day but at night people gathered in front of the hotel and stayed up late. The breakfast was not that good.

Excellent hosts, great location, great value!

We stayed at this hotel for one night. We had initially booked a different hotel in the area, but upon arrival were sent away due to the effects of the floods in the region. We then quickly looked for a different hotel for that night and were very lucky to find the Garni hotel. The (Dutch) hosts were extremely friendly and the location was even prettier than the one we had initially booked, while still being very close to a section of the National Park that we had chosen for astrophotography that night. We were very surprised by how clean and modern our room was. The shower was very clean and surprisingly good for a hotel of this price. The hosts then gave us advice on where to get dinner. If we had had more time, we would've definitely ordered some drinks at the Garni hotel too, since the atmosphere on the terrace seemed very nice. When we went for breakfast the next day, a table had already been prepared for us. The food was quite nice and the hosts were again super kind to us. In conclusion: for anyone that wants to go hiking in the area or do some astrophotography in the Dark Sky park, this location is highly recommended. The hosts are extremely kind and helpful and the rooms are great value for money. We will definitely be returning here.

I really have to nitpick to find aspects I didn't like, but there were two things that we noticed: - The trash can in the room did not have a liner, which makes me feel bad about throwing away items that might make a mess, like empty drinks cans that might leak a few drops. - Only one of the nightstands had a power outlet next to it. Again, these are only minor complaints and did not in any way take away from our experience at this hotel.

A nice relaxing weekend at the end of lockdown.

Breakfast was just right. Continental, plus fried or scrambled eggs as a bonus. Rooms were really clean. Considering the regulations, we were made really welcome and the Hotel is perfect for all types of activity. Cycling, hiking or just enjoying the Eifel. We could also store our e-bikes overnight. You can easily plan a ship tour of the Rursee from here as the ship anchor here overnight.

Nothing springs to mind. A clean and pleasant Hotel.

As nice and picturesque as it gets

Very much what you'd hope for in a small german hotel in a nature park! Very kind and attentive (and english speaking) landlords. Nice room/bathroom & great breakfast. Lots of restaurants nearby.

- No parking space available at the premises when we arrived. - The view from our room was of the parkinglot of the hotel next door. - Hotel do not accept strange and outlandish creditcards like VISA and MasterCard.

Luidruchtig kerkklokken word je iedere ochtend om 7:00 uur wakker van. Bed kraakt, badkamer verouderd. Geen mogelijkheden om in de avond wat te drinken

De familiekamer was zeer ruim en voorzien van voldoende zitplaatsen

Op zaterdagochtend om 7u gewekt worden door naburige kerkklokken die laten weten dat uw vakantiedag best vroeg begint, is minder verrijkend dan gewenst. Het hotel zelf krijgt alleen goede punten!

Schöner Aufenthalt und guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge

Sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und zur Weihnachtszeit außen und innen nett geschmückt und beleuchtet. Sehr nette Inhaber. Frühstück war gut. Reichhaltige Auswahl und frisch gepresster Orangensaft wurde direkt an den Tisch gebracht.

Paar dagen wandelen in de Eifel.

De centrale ligging nabij mooie natuur- en wandelgebieden. De rust in de avond. Het uitgebreide ontbijt.

De kamer was niet al te groot, maar prima. De douche/wc ruimte was krap. Er was weinig ruimte om je kleding/pyjama of handdoek op te hangen. In de kamer ontbrak een rekje voor de koffer. Ook was er geen mogelijkheid om koffie of thee te zetten. Op verzoek kon er wel een waterkoker geleverd worden. Al met al prima voor een paar dagen.
