Nice property. The smell and the hosts make it not worth returning.

Nice flat, nice area. Close to everything. Easy to get in.

The sewerage smell in the bathroom was disgusting. I can see from other reviews that this is a problem already known to the owners regarding this specific room. We also notified them that the toilet was running water constantly through booking but received no response. It also took us 4 refusals and a week of arguing with the hosts to get them to provide the invoice. They advised multiple times that it was booking.coms responsibility even though the booking.com policy as well as multiple customer service agents advise that it is the accomodations responsibility to provide. We finally got it after we reminded them that it is their legal responsibility to provide the invoice.

So my rental was terrible at first and excellent after. But did not receive any refund....

luckily, after two days I was able to switch to another unit with a balcony and beautiful view of the area. I stayed in this unit for 3 days and everything was super.

I rented one unit firs which did not have any windows to the street but to interior court. Could not leave the window open because the the court was noisy due to air conditioning units. The unit did not have an adequate fire exit via window because the court did not have an exit or fire ladder to the roof. The AC unit in the room was noisy and not user friendly, could not change any settings. The fridge was noisy as well. The hot water in the bathroom would run out in a few minutes. So no normal showers.

Breathtaking view, great location

This apartment had a breathtaking view. The host was kind enough to send us a video which made it a lot easier to locate the property. The apartment was full of utensils for cooking which was convenient and we would come stay here again. The location was great, you could walk anywhere you needed and it wasnt too far of a walk.

Recommend apartment for short stays but a lot of stairs to get to from the port.

The apartment was very clean but it’s small. The room was very small and so was the bathroom. It’s great if it’s short term stay. In the bathroom you had to walk sideways to get out as it was so small.

The walk to get to the apartment was horrible. From the ferry port to the apartment it was all stairs.

We didn't want to leave ...

We had Room 3 with a balcony overlooking the water. The balcony was bright and sunny, and we could sit out of the westerly wind or on the new sun lounger under the umbrella. We just loved waking up to the constant movement on the water ... ferries, cruise boats, day trippers, kayaks, etc. We didn't want to leave.

1. The steps are an obstacle and would make it difficult for anyone who is not strong enough to carry their luggage up 163 steps (from the Riva, we came by ferry). Other comments have mentioned coming by taxi, but there would still be about 40 steps. 2. There is no power outlet in the kitchen, so you need to plug the kettle in beside the bed. 3. TV didn't work.

We had such a great stay!

The view from the balcony was absolutely incredible! We were so pleased it looked exactly like the images. The room is small but exactly what you would need as you wouldn’t be spending much time in there anyway with all the exploring that is available in Hvar.

Air con wasn’t that strong so we did have some humid nights, there was also only 1 small bin in the bathroom which we filled pretty quickly - it would may be beneficial to also have a larger bin in the room itself.

on our last day thr check out time was 11am in thr house rules displayed in the apt so we got up and went for one last swim we were then texted and emailed to say check out was 10am ? this caused us stress and put a bit of a bad taste on thr experience we had in good faith taken thr house rules in the apt as checkout time

Avoid this place at all costs !!!!

the property had an OK view of the sea, but not as good as the pictures show.

The room looked nothing like the pictures, it was extremely disappointing and frustrating. We were very excited to stay here, especially for the balcony view and furniture shown in photos. However, not only did we not have the correct furniture outside on the balcony (i.e, no sun lounger etc) the TV did not work and there was a misleading checkout notice on the wall. This stated that check out was half hour later than what the owner stated in the email e.g 10am - there are fines for late check out too so be careful, the owner is the most misleading. The owner was not helpful and very rude. We were disappointed with our room for multiple reasons, and stated how we do not have the correct facilities as to what we paid for - but the owner did not seem to care and quite frankly was very rude about this situation. We had asked if we could be refunded for the accommodation and find elsewhere to stay, but this was declined and refused by the owner. No compensation from booking.com either so I would suggest to go elsewhere. For the price, you would expect a lot more from this property. There are plenty of other nice accommodations with better views, interior designs (we had an awful bright orange bedding which was of a towel material - horrible fabric to put on a bed - it made it so uncomfortable). The room was quite small and claustrophobic - it may have been helpful to get rid of some of the random IKEA furniture within the room. Be aware of the very loud neighbours living just above this accommodation. You could hear every single footstep and they had noisy children and a dog which would not stop barking. If you are looking for a peaceful stay, avoid this place at all costs. As well as this, the location of the property is in a very run down area and I felt quite unsafe staying here. Expect to see run down housing and abandoned places with graffiti.

A dated, hard to find accommodation with no communications from the host.

Do not type in Carpe Diem rooms into google when searching for this location. Also the directions to the room are also wrong. You need to turn left rather than right when you leave the port / carpe diem bar.

Outside area is dated, it needs repainting, cleaning etc. The host never answered our calls at all or replied to our messages. The beds are uncomfortable too and the wifi is poor.

Amazing view!

Best place to stay in Hvar. I was a bit worried about it, because I read some bad reviews about the place, it says that was hard to find it. It was actually super easy to reach the place from the Harbour, the girl on booking gave us all the information to arrive at the room and we didn't have any problems! The check in was easy and fast. The view from our window was amazing😍 Plus the room is super close to the old town and to the Harbour. Realy recommended!

The room was clean on arrival. If you can get a room with a balcony looks like the views would be amazing. It was close to the marina, restaurants and bars.

The Double rooms are VERY small. We saw the other reviews and went for the bigger double as the larger/balcony rooms were unavailable, however it was still very small. There is no room to manoeuvre in the bathroom and the room itself isn't really big enough for 2 people with small luggage. The stairs to the property are a lot from the marina but we just took it as exercise :o) Property is very hard to find.

Terrible

The reception was bad, not welcoming and the room did not meet our expectations. As a result, we asked for a refund so that we can leave and the property manager did not empathise with situation and did not rectify the issue as she advised to take this up with booking.com.

Superb

Localization is the best you stay, near harbor and city center you can walk for all the beaches in Hvar. The view of the apartment is so beautiful Hostess is very attention.

In our room I think there was just a place to hang the clothes to dry. But everything else was pretty good.

Lots of steps, so be prepared but you get used to. But the one thing that was really was the wifi. As I do remote work, it wasn’t easy to work and I had to hotspot from my phone. Not ideal if you need speedy internet... otherwise it’s a good place

Thre views were nice and location was ok.

The instructions they send to get to place are all wrong, if better just to follow google as we lost a lot of time getting to the place. The floor in the balcony needed to be clean as there was many dirt in the wood, always needed to go out with sandals, there was not a lounger as in the image of the room, we missed that. There are many stairs to the place so if you come with big luggage maybe is not a good idea.
