Best location for a stay in Hvar!

The location is perfect! You are so close to the ferry port, and all of the restaurants. There are some stairs to get to the room, but not many. Book it for the location!

Would definitely book and stay again

The location is excellent and the room is spotlessly clean. There is a fridge, a kettle, teabags, instant coffee sachets, and wine glasses in the fridge. No cutlery. One chair, a set of drawers. No full-length mirror and a wardrobe. It's described as a "studio" but be aware, it's actually a room with an ensuite shower room. The beds are really comfy, the towels, bed linen and toiletries are decent quality, the location is excellent. I would recommend taking a backpack or a very small suitcase as the stairs are steep and a wind a little. I would 100% book and stay again.

No spoons or milk but there was yoghurt in the fridge upon arrival. No full-length mirror

Easy to get to accommodation with everything you need

Great location! Easy to walk to from the port and to the restaurants. Fairly quiet considering you are so close to eateries and busy walking street. The bed was very comfy. Towels were provided. The host had great communication and was extremely helpful. We would definitely stay again!

The accommodation is a little tired, but you get what you pay for and it was good value for the price. If you aren’t good with steps/stairs could be an issue.

Great location inside the city walls and minutes walk to ferry .

The location is excellent right off the main square . In the heart of Hvar.. a few minutes walk from the port and the ferry and inside the old wall . We could hear people downstairs in the narrow stone alley way with restaurants with the window open but we didn’t mind as it s the atmosphere of Hvar and it wasn’t loud or annoying . Very quiet otherwise and we slept well . The bed is large but the room has just the basics .. nothing fancy .. even a bit tight with the large bed which is the only place to sit . It’s really a room for enjoying Hvar and not spending a lot of time in though it was comfortable enough and the location made coming and going so easy . Self check in .

The room was tight but maybe the price is in line with this as I’m not sure you could do better for the price as it’s clean and central .

Location is great. In the middle of Hvar Town. But even being in the centre of everything, we slept great. There is no noise after 12 pm. The room is big enough for a few days. And the host is really friendly. We had a great time and would come back.

Great location only minutes away from the harbour and square. Around the corner are great restaurants and bars. Short walks to nice beaches. Nice, clean rooms, very helpful staf. Since you are so central it is a bit loud at night and you hear the church bells in the mornings. Overall great if you want to live central!

A great value and a very convenient location.

The location is just off the main square, very easy to find and close to the heart of town. The apartment we had was on the third floor. The kitchen was fully equipped, but we only stayed two nights, so ate out for dinner and breakfast. Breakfast was very easy as an excellent buffet was served at the terrace of a hotel a three minute walk away. We paid in cash for the room in the local currency, which we have not done in a long time. It worked out fine. I followed the directions on the reservation and looked at the exchange rate for Euros into Kunas on the day we arrived. The EU centralbank website provided the rate and I arrived with enough Kunas to cover that. Our host were very hospitable and arranged for us to leave our bags after we checked out until we boarded our ferry. We found the apartment a very good value for the price we paid and would stay again.

The only problem we had was some noise in the alleyway below late at night. A sidewalk cafe was in the alley and some patrons, who dined very late, were noisy. Closing the windows solved the issue. It was September, so the apartment was not excessively warm without the ventilation. This might be more of an issue in the hot summer months. I don't know the status of air conditioning in the apartment, as we didn't need it and didn't look at the thermostat.

Perfect place in the heart of Hvar

From the moment we’ve booked the room, the host contacted us and gave instructions how to find them upon arrival. The location is amazing, easy to find and it’s located in the center of beautiful Hvar, just next to the restaurants, shops, main square, local pubs, yachts and beaches. The toom was clean, beds comfortable, Smart TV, internet, hairdryer, fridge and all you need for an calm, relax and awesome stay. Will definetely book and visit again.

Perfection

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Town Gate, we really wished we could have stayed longer. The location was absolutely perfect and on one of the most beautiful streets in the old town. The room itself was very nice and spacious, definitely one of the larger properties we stayed at and very clean! We could have stayed in this unit for weeks! Lastly, our host was absolutely incredible and very accommodating. We would recommend this anyone.
