The Bastion - ZF Hvar

The host was very nice and contacted me a few days before our arrival to ask about our estimated arrival time, making sure he would be there to welcome us personally. He gave us a brief introduction to the apartment and explained everything we needed to know. The apartment itself was spacious, with a good-sized room, wardrobe and kitchen. We knew beforehand that there was no balcony, but with the windows open we had no problem drying our bikinis and towels. The location was one of our favourite things. It is right next to the walls of the citadel, in a really lovely and quiet area. It is only about two streets away from the main streets and city centre, so everything is very close, but the street itself is peaceful, with no bars or restaurants nearby, which made it perfect for sleeping. We arrived by catamaran at Hvar port, and it was only about a 7-minute walk from the port to the apartment, which was very convenient.

There wasn’t anything major that we didn’t like. If I had to mention one small thing, the bathroom felt a little smaller than we expected from the pictures, especially the shower. But this was not a major issue and overall we had a very nice stay.

Perfekt beliggenhet i en rolig gate, men bare noen meter unna gatene med restauranter og bytorvet. Setter pris på de små, men viktige gestene, som kaffemaskin OG kaffe, kaldt vann i kjøleskapet og fleksibel innsjekking. Også hyggelig kommunikasjon med vertskapet, med mange gode tips om lokale opplevelser.

Ingenting, men det eneste jeg savnet var en liten veranda eller uteplass for morgenkaffen. Men dype vinduskarmer med nydelig utsikt over hustakene ga en god start på dagen!

Perfect location, everything you need to make meals, large room, very attentive and helpful host. Best place to have privacy and make a wonderful stay in Hvar!

very brief handoiver lack of info on hvar in accommodation shower curtain dirty and hot water not hot when we arrived - needed a couple of hours to heat up better briefing when arrived would adress this
