Historic Piazza House & Romantic Hidden Garden

Convenient location right in the heart of Hvar Old town. Instructions and photos were given by the host on the day of arrival. Even though she sent photos and description, some aspects of it was missing and hence finding the front door to the property wasn't as straight forward.

In the tunnel/corridor leading up the stairs to the garden before entering the property was extremely dark as there were no lights working. We had to use the torch on our phones to ensure that we did not trip and fall down the stairs everytime we came in and left the property. Bathroom shower did not flow properly. Water would pool around your feet as soon as the shower was turned on. The drains probably needs to be cleaned from previous guests.

The location was gorgeous and right in the centre. Host sent a PDF of things to do in the area.

Response times were tough to deal with. I sent messages through booking.com few times for weeks in advance of our booking with no response. Communication was spotty compared to all our other 6 hosts in Croatia. Made planning more stressful than it needed to be. Least well equipped kitchen with no courtesy tea, coffee, shower gel etc. like other places.

This was my second time staying in Hvar and this is the perfect plaza to be in. It’s also right next to the ferry. The unit was perfectly located right off the Square yet extremely quiet. The unit is very cute and a great homebase for your trip. It is even bigger inside than it looks in the pictures and you have a washer and extra towels and bedding, which is very helpful. The host is very nice.

The Wi-Fi didn’t work our entire four nights stay except for about two hours, and we tried to connect and disconnect the modem the entire time. Don’t expect to have any Wi-Fi. There’s quite a few stairs leading into the unit and no one to help with your bags which was a problem for us. It’s also very difficult to find. Your gps map will likely take you to the left of the square but it’s actually off to the right.
