Comfortable and entertaining

If I could rate this 20/10 stars I would. I think the people who gave this place a bad rating do not understand the charm of northern ireland. This is a tavern, not a 5 star hotel. The beds were the most comfortable we slept in our whole trip, the breakfast was fantastic, the whiskey was as sharp as the conversation (and reasonably priced), and the staff were a hoot. Will definitely stay here again.

An absolutely great stay. Quirky bar area, which was delightful, something to look at everywhere. Really friendly staff. Great location. Clean and well appointed room, very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast.

Great Pub, superb location, very good value for money

The Causeway Tavern occupies a fantastic location for all the main sights. The owner is lovely, very engaging, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are very nice, good shower, very comfortable bed. The breakfast is great, plenty of choice, generous portions and nicely presented. The bar is nice, good range of drinks and very fairly priced. There is plenty of free parking available.

Cosy b& b

This is a family run pub which was cosy and inviting. The lady works long hours from cooking an amazing, filling breakfast to serving behind the bar and closing the pub at night. She has great knowledge of the area and was helpful in recommending places to go for evening meals. The room was very comfortable and warm. The bar was well stocked and other guests were friendly and talkative. There is free Wi-Fi

Amazing place, amazing people, wonderful stay

Proprietors Mark and Michaela went above and beyond for us after our car broke down assist’s with repairs. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they are the embodiment of kindness. The saying everyone you meet is a friend you haven’t just met yet is true where these people are concerned. Place is well situated to all local attractions. The cats are a bonus Lucky, Foxy and Rambo add a little extra to the place. My daughter wants to move in and was having dreams of cats while we were there. Thank you for all of your kindness and we are already planning our next trip. Jayne & Ava

Comfy bed but with a disgusting breakfast

Easy to find and beds were comfy

The cooked breakfast was disgusting, mushrooms, bacon, hash brown, sausages were cooked in a deep fat fryer which had dirty old cooking oil! The taste was just beyond vile, we struggled to eat it, so settled for eating just the eggs on some toast! We noticed the establishment had a food hygiene rating of 5, which tells me she must know how to practice safe cooking preparation procedures, but failed to follow them! Somebody needs to check this out please!?!

Lovely old tavern with friendly staff.

The breakfast was great with plenty of options. The beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Would be great if meals were served at night however the manager directed us to where we could find a good meal and suggested if we wanted a take away we were more than welcome to bring it back and enjoy it in the bar.

A home from home highly recommend

Can't say enough about this place. We had the best stay! The tarven is a home away from home. The food is very very good, breakfast was fabulous. Bed was very comfortable and room very clean. The hosts micheala and Mark were so friendly and nice and couldn't do enough for us. We asked Micheala would she do us some finger food for a small group of people..she put out all the stops the spread was amazing 👏. Would highly recommend the causeway tavern B&B. We will definitely come back to stay in the future.

Great location for the Giants Causeway and surrounding attractions

The location was excellent for the Giants Causeway, which was only 1-2 miles away, and other surrounding attractions. The breakfast was very good and the bedroom was comfortable.

It would have been good if the WIFI extended to the bar area, and not just the bedrooms.

Pleasant

The location of this tavern is ideal when your want to spent some days around the giant causeway. The parking in front of the hotel is practicle and it is nice you can drink a night cap before going to bed. The lady is very nice and helpful. The bed is okay and ones we doing our how the shower worked out was nice to take a shower 😀. We had an European breakfast with lots of fruit. On picfures from people 7 years ago also this did not change a thing 😂.

The hotel needs a refreshment, a re-do, a make over. It smelt old and I still don't know how to wash my hands in the sink in the bathroom. It was not the cleanest, but when you like sticky table tops, this might be your place to be.

Causeway Stop Over

Only staying the one night, but my room was clean, well presented, and comfortable with an en suite. Breakfast was excellent in again a clean, well presented dining room. Machaela, my host was friendly and the craic in the bar was great. I would definitely stay again.
