We had a wonderful time staying at Chateau de Ternay. It was fun to explore the property, the rooms were large and comfortable. And the hospitality could not have been better! The highlight was sitting down at a beautifully prepared “picnic” in front of the Chateau. It exceeded our expectations immensely! It was more than a picnic-it was a feast!
Nothing! It’s a castle, built in the 1400’s. The expectations should be in line with that, and you will love it! If you expect the Marriott, or The Ritz, than you should probably skip this charming experience.

It was so quiet and the beds felt like you were sleeping in a princess bed!
It seemed a little lost. Like it used to be something really amazing, but maybe too much to care for and keep up.

The breakfast was excellent. Fresh croissants, fresh fruit, fresh yogurt, fresh coffee. But the history of the place is absolutely incredible. The Château has been under the ownership of the same family from 1606 right up to the present. Unbelievable. Our hostess was understandably, quite proud of her ancestral home, and the history that comes with it.
