What a beautiful, timeless place, where time has stopped at just the right moment.
It was one of our best vacations in recent years. Country House Podere Lacaioli is a peaceful house with a restaurant in central Italy and is a great base for trips to Siena, Assisi, Florence, or Rome. It is run by a very helpful and friendly elderly couple, it is quiet and peaceful, 5 minutes from shops, bars, restaurants, and the old town. A great place, wonderful people, you can cook or barbecue yourself, or use the restaurant in the resort or one of the many nearby. It was a great stay with excellent food, wine, and trips to nearby towns and attractions, after which we could relax in this wonderful place. It's not modern, and the internet doesn't always work everywhere, but that's really not the most important thing during a vacation where you want to get away from work, everyday life, and relax, sunbathe, or swim in the pool. We were truly delighted.
The building and rooms were renovated many years ago (20?), but they are in excellent condition. Some doors creak, the internet is not always fast, but... it's just great here, quiet and peaceful. You can get up at sunrise and watch the deer, or go and pet the llamas.

Gestore scorbutico e per nulla accogliente e maleducato
Ci è piaciuto il ristorante e chi lo gestiva. Ovviamente gestione diversa da chi gestisce le camere. I ristoratori erano professionali e gentilissimi a differenza del gestore delle camere. Grazie a loro il nostro soggiorno è stato positivo
Al nostro arrivo non c’era nessuno, così chiamiamo il numero scritto in reception che scopriamo essere del sig. Edo gestore della struttura camere. Ci dice che non gli risulta la nostra prenotazione (in seguito scopriremo che non era vero). Dato che pioveva chiediamo se nel frattempo si poteva usufruire della spa (da contratto risultava compresa nel prezzo). Al che il sig Edo ci dice sentite se volete vi ridó i soldi che mi create meno problemi se andate via che se rimanete. Allibiti incontriamo i gestori del ristorante gentilissimi che si sono occupati di noi anche se non era compito loro… ma evidentemente conoscono il soggetto che gestisce le camere.

Soggiorno nella natura in tranquillità
La struttura si trova in un posto tranquillo, in mezzo alla natura ed è dotata di diversi comfort, tra cui la piscina. Inoltre gli alpaca sono l’attrazione principale! Il ristorante adiacente è gestito da persone squisite come i piatti che preparano!
La suite risulta un po’ scomoda ed essendo un granaio rivisitato come stanza, gli spazi erano stretti per considerarla suite. Inoltre la pulizia non era impeccabile, c’erano un po’ di ragnatele e polvere in posti accessibili.
