Beautiful relaxing hotel to come back to after a day exploring Orvieto

Delicious,plentiful breakfast, beautifully presented. Public room are very elegant and calming. Spa centre down in the cave looks cool, although we didn’t use it. Bedrooms are lovely with comfy bed and a great shower. Staff are delightful. Very welcoming and helpful. Great secure parking on site.

Great location . Exit hotel , walk left around 50-100m is neat and clean Coin Laundry shop , walk out of hotel oppo is the restaurant IL Malandrino ( service and food amazing, love the truffle fried eggs and others!), another nice restaurant next to. If dinner ,they open at 7pm so you can rest in the hotel after viewing the historical sites on foot , then come out for dinner . Newly renovated since April 1025 , beautiful. Breakfast was great too!

Superb and great value for money.

Everything was perfect, the location, the staff, the rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast, parking facilities , you name it, everything was great. It really exceeded our expectations and we felt so welcome. A big thank you to Piero and Maurizio who took great care of us. They are really kind and great hosts :) we hope to return sometime soon.

This was our perfect stay traveling 3.5 weeks throughout norhern Italy

The staff, location, property were amazing. So much money and thought put into the reservation. Much more than we expected in this Etruscan and Medieval village. We used the private spa each day. We have already recommended this property to several friends who live in Tuscany.

One of the best small hotels in Italy!!!

One of the best hotels if not the best in Italy! Perfect location, amazing staff that just can’t seem to do enough for you. Clean, new, great beds, AC, breakfast. Extremely well run. Fabulous restaurants across the street as well. We loved this little 21 room gem and cannot wait to share it with friends and family and return again. Thank you all for making our vacation so special.

The breakfast Yogurt was excellent, also available were eggs, cheese, fruit, and Italian meats. The coffee service was excellent. The overall service at breakfast was very good. The bar service in the early evening was excellent. The hotel's location was within walking distance of most sites in the city of Orvieto. The hotel is newly renovated for an original 1900's hotel. The remodel is excellent. The entire facility was clean and updated. Knowing that the hotel is a remodel of an older historic facility was a plus. The hotel even has a small work out room with clean and modern equipment. The Manager, Alexandria, fluent in several languages, visited with us and other guests at breakfast during our stay. She made us feel right at home and was truly interested in our traveling experiences. It was evident that as manager she took great pride in the hotel, the staff, and her work. The hotel parking was available for guests at a charge. It was a small area but adequate and secure.

The Hotel has a very small logo advertising sign on the building, which is difficult to see. Driving to the hotel in the medieval city of Orvieto was quite a challenge. There were no signs on the access street with the Hotel's name. In addition, the car's GPS location for the hotel was confusing. A quick telephone call to the hotel and a conversation with the check in staff solved the location problem. They provided an alternative address with directions to the exact location. The staff of a local restaurant directly across the street, solved our final direction problem when we failed to see the hotel and the smaller EMME Palace Hotel Sign. Maneuvering in medieval Italian cities is challenging with the very narrow one way streets and limited parking.

Breakfast was fab, staff was super-friendly and really went the extra mile in every aspect of guest relations. The hotel is new (or has been completely redone. Rooms were very comfortable, bathrooms perfect, clean. Location was bang in the middle of town. Just the perfect stay.

A nice location!

The hotel was in a quiet area off the main Corso, although there are a number of eateries in front that can create a bit of noise at night. With the windows closed, I'm sure the noise would be lessened. (I choose to have the windows open to create a good temperature in the room. The room and bathroom were good spaces, the bed was comfortable and I enjoyed the small seat in the window to sit on and enjoy the street life. There was a large cupboard, to store bags out of sight. The breakfast room is a very attractive space and there was a good choice of food.

Tables had been assigned for breakfast, which was not explained and people had chosen their own tables and then had to move. The internet didn't need a password and was very unstable, constantly dropping out!

Breakfast was poor and all out of a packet. Very disappointing and it would put us off returning. A great pity because the location was stunning.

Orvieto is such a beautiful place ~ the service at our hotel was a huge disappointment. Unfortunately, we do not recomme

- room was spacious - breakfast was good - breakfast room was lovely - location was quiet away from the main crowd

- no air conditioning - when asking about the AC we were told it was ‘blocked’ and needed to be reset and we were then handed a fan. The AC was never fixed for the two nights of our stay so we ended up sleeping with no blankets - the staff (and owner) did not seem to enjoy their work and seemed very disconnected to their clients

Perfect for exploring Orvieto - which by the way is now one of our favourite towns in Italy.

Perfect location. Cristina on Reception was great help with parking our car and when we left another member of staff helped us by driving it out of the very tight private parking area. We and our dog were made to feel very welcome.

I think it's more a gripe with Booking.com rather than the hotel, but it does annoy me when a charge is made for parking (€12,00) when from the original booking it appeared to be for free.
