At this time of year, outdoor areas and activities on the property are limited.

Rustic style in Tuscany

The location was nice. Good breakfast and very helpful staff. We also ate at the restaurant one evening and the food was very good. The rustic Tuscan style is very charming. The place is animal friendly.

For a stay of more than 2-3 days the cooking facilities would be inadequate. Showering in the morning was a challenge (water would run low very quickly. The drive to the hotel requires good tyres and suspension ;-)

Historical building with lots of character, which has been converted into a hotel whilst retaining the original features.

Restaurant whilst having limited choice delivered good food and being so remote should look at extending menu. The staff also need to improve their service and personal skills.

An unforgettable stay that made Tuscany feel like home

Our stay at La Capanne was simply exceptional! Tuscany is no longer just a dream—it became reality here. The place is so beautiful in every detail: the vibes, the style, the staff, the restaurant, the food, the breakfast, and the pool… everything was perfect. Honestly, it feels underrated because it deserves even more recognition.

The only small downside is about 300 meters of unpaved road leading to the hotel, but once you arrive, you forget all about it. Absolutely worth it!

The property had a lot of charm. It was very rustic and super relaxing. The staff were very friendly, rooms a generous size and a fantastic pool.

Perfect overnight stay at Le Capanne!

The staff were so polite and friendly and the setting, particularly the pool and restaurant were glorious. We only spent 1 night after a wedding close by and wish we could have stayed longer! Our 1 meal in the restaurant was fantastic!

Bathroom was small but functional. Towel rail was extremely high and I am quite tall. Also the bedroom cupboard rail was very high. You were given a pole with a hook to hang your clothes up. Mind you this is a small thing compared to the lovely experience of staying there. You need a car to get into Arezzo as you are quite a way out with no public transport close by.

It’s complicated because we did not expect it to be quite so far from Arezzo center (15 min drive) which at first was a minus against the property but then, it turned out to be a positive note. We did not want to leave and were happy to be in the country side after a hot day in Arezzo- we didn’t feel compelled to return to the town.

Two things. A bit complicated to find it especially since the road is not paved. Second it is very close to the trains (high speed and local), so in the morning every 5 minutes you heard them passing.

An Unforgettable 5-Day Stay – Truly Exceptional!

This review might be a bit long, but this place truly deserves every word of it. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away—not just by the beautiful, authentic charm of the property, but also by the warmth and kindness of the staff and owners. We arrived hungry after a long journey, only to find out that local restaurants were closed for their afternoon break (from 1:30 PM to 7:00 PM). The lovely receptionist noticed our situation, made us fresh sandwiches, and personally brought them to our room. That gesture meant the world to us. Our room was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated, with a balcony overlooking peaceful fields. Every day, it was perfectly cleaned, with beds made to perfection. One chilly evening, we returned to find the room already heated—just one of many thoughtful details that made our stay so special. Each day, the minibar was restocked with water and cola—completely free of charge. Dinner at the hotel is a must. The food is fantastic, the wines are superb, and the service is genuinely warm and attentive. We didn’t feel the need to eat anywhere else—this restaurant was a highlight on its own. Breakfast was also lovely, with barista-made coffee served fresh at the counter—none of that tasteless machine coffee you usually get in hotels. Another huge plus: they have a charger for electric vehicles at a very reasonable price. We charged our car every night and didn’t even need to visit a supercharger during our entire stay. We travel a lot and also work in property management, so we’ve experienced all kinds of accommodation—but this one truly stands out. It’s one of the best we’ve ever stayed at, both in terms of comfort and service. Absolutely recommend it with all our heart.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, made us feel very welcome. The food in the restaurant was amazing. We ate dinner there every night of our stay.

The room was quite small and the shower door did not work very well. They did come in to fix it when we asked.

Quirky, comfortable, clean and well worth a look.

The quirky old style building was lovely not the usual standard hotel room it was unique and comfortable. The restaurant was exceptional and all the staff were so friendly and helpful, we would go and spend longer there next time.

The only issue was it was difficult to find but it was worth it when we got there.

The location is inconvenient since there is no asfalted road to the hotel from any direction. The house is very old, and the room looks correspondingly - it is really poor and tight. The stairs are inconvenient, especially for going down with a suitcase.

Beautiful, Tranquil, Relaxing Location w/ Incredible Food from their Restaurant!

We loved our stay at Hotel Le Capanne! We were so exhausted from being tourists in Rome and Positano, that coming to Arezzo and relaxing by the pool all day was the perfect antidote. The staff at the Hotel are so accommodating and will do whatever they can to make your stay comfortable. The kitchen isn't open for lunch, but they made us sandwiches anyway so that we wouldn't have to travel into town. Loved, loved, loved this place!! And the in-house restaurant was exceptional! We ate there every night of our stay without question.

Perfect Farmhouse in the Tuscan Sun

a warm welcome from Linda at reception on arrival which continued from all the staff on our stay at this wonderful Tuscan farmhouse The staff couldn’t do enough for you. Stefano and his brother were so helpful .The food was delightful (perfect steak) and the service excellent . A beautiful clean pool with plenty of loungers and parasols. Our room (3) was immaculately clean with excellent aircon. Would score this stay 11 if possible
