Margaret went out of her way to allow us to change our plans and check in early.. The house was so quiet ....never heard a door, water pipes, cars from main road ... absolutely nothing . Loved it. Nice breakfast.suited us, was offered more but not required.. Nice grounds to enjoy Nice toiletries .

No problems that bothered us , other than found the bedroom door key difficult to operate., this produced great hilarity ....to me ! Had we been staying longer we would had to have mentioned it. We just presumed it was us !

Lovely host, Margaret was so friendly, went over and above for guests. She made you so welcome in her fabulous home.

Comfy bed and reasonable shower when it worked OK. Seemed to be some issues with plumbing when more than one shower was running at the same time

1. Parking was tight for the number of guests in at the time. 2. The house smelt of cigarette smoke/ unpleasant in the entrance area which seemed to have been disguised by some sort of air freshner. 3. Dirty cutlery and crockery in the room on arrival. Owner sorted straight away. 4. Room storage cupboard smelt of damp. 5. TV wouldn't work until re-tuned. Aerial issues. 6. No shower gel to use in the shower 7. With the exception of the bathroom, the whole place seemed stuck in a 1980's time warp. 8. Breakfast room was dismal, with poor lighting, and pictures all over the place. 9. Despite being advertised on booking.com, no cooked breakfast was offered or available. 10 Very close to major main road, which was noisy with the window open. 11. The grounds needed a lot of work...plastic flowers not a good look either. 12. Water provided in the plastic bottle in the room was revolting, and undrinkable. 13. Patronising views of the manager in response to genuine criticism of his poor establishment. Its dated and unacceptable.
