Everything. Omaka lodge is stunning. The grounds and pool area are beautifully kept and our room was beautifully decorated. Very comfy bed & lovely and clean. Scott & Chris are impeccable hosts, making you feel very welcome as soon as you walk in the door. The homemade preserves were delicious.

Wow! A magnificent property!! I highly recommend this property as a unique stay - whether you need to be in Taumarunui or not. It is definitely worth an addition to your NZ holiday. We had booked a Forgotten World Adventure and Omaka Lodge is only a 10/15 minute drive from the starting point in the town. It was beautiful from the moment we drove through the gates and up the long drive. The gardens and water feature reflect such care and imagination, they are a pleasure to walk around and relax in. Our accommodation itself was just magical - so luxuriously appointed and decorated. Our hosts, Chris and Scott and their two pups, were welcoming and friendly. There was an option for dinner (if pre-organised) and I would definitely take up this option if I was to stay again. The continental breakfast was superb, with home made muesli and granola as well as home baked bread and jams. Chris even got up early to make sure our breakfast was on the table by 6am as we had to be in town by 7am. This will be a highlight of our NZ holiday!!
