Excellent for a cycling holiday.

Nice and big apartment on a beautiful farm just off a village and close to Oudenaarde, perfect for a cycling holiday in the Flemish Ardennes. Good outside space, shed to keep the bikes, good fireplace, well equipped kitchen, friendly but discret host (they live in the farm), good value for money

Exceptional

Quirky but very comfortable little cottage. In den akker means in the field and it is but the nearest supermarket is only 2.5km away. We wanted to stay on but the property was booked so the host helped us find and book another very nice appartement only 30km away.

The hosts lived next door and we could occasionally hear them through a (locked) connecting door but this was never a problem.

It is a special place, close to oudenaarde but in rural area close to Vlaamse Ardennen, great for cycling. The heating with the "speksteenkachel" is special.

Superb

It was very comfortable and in an excellent location for visiting Ghent and Oudenaarde. I did 2 fantastic bike rides from the property taking in many of the classic cobbled climbs that make the area famous. It was lovely and cool inside during an extremely hot period of weather.

la casa dei miei sogni

Den Akker è un alloggio che ci ha fatto sognare: la casa costruita con criteri biocompatibili e con materiali solidi e di recupero che fanno immaginare storie passate e una grande attenzione per l'ecologia; gli spazi sono organizzati in maniera molto originale (la doccia è nella camera principale e il wc in altra posizione, ma noi l'abbiamo trovato comunque funzionale) ma sono ben modulati ed ampi (i miei figli hanno amato il soggiorno con la stufa e il piccolo soppalco); la cucina dove non mancava niente ma proprio niente è orientata a sud ed è un piacere cucinare un buon pasto in famiglia guardando il tramonto e la campagna circostante; il giardino esterno con fiori di tutti i tipi e molta biodiversità, qualche animale da cortile e un bellissimo orto (grazie per la cipolla, a proposito). I proprietari molto gentili, ma non invadenti, sono stati subito disposti a darci una mano per capire il miglior modo per arrivare in città. Nei dintorni c'è molta piacevole campagna, per arrivare noi eravamo in auto, ma credo che potrebbe essere interessante come tappa per un tour in bici.

Prachtige oude boerderij, in rustig buitengebied. Voorzien van alles wat nodig was. Vriendelijke eigenaren en authentieke woning. Op foto' s lijkt het wellicht wat somber, maar dat is het zeker niet!

Wij hadden geen ontbijt. Lokatie en het huis waren perfect. Het huis was oud, maar op een uitmuntende wijze gerenoveerd. Alles was goed.

Fantastische plek om je batterij op te laden.

Het was een fijn thuis komen met alles om het comfortabel te maken. Het uitzicht was heerlijk en hebben iedere dag genoten van de openhaard. Onze kinderen (8 & 4 jaar) hebben ook genoten van de dieren en de tuin. De eigenaar was heel gastvrij.

de eigenaar is aanwezig voor de sleutels, de eigenaar maakte het haardvuur aan voor ons op beide verblijfdagen, de omgeving is rustig en mooi,
