The brand-new villa is decorated with stone, wood and quality materials. High beamed ceilings and tasteful furnishings are combined to feature a warm home atmosphere. The villa has been finished with the care and detail normally reserved for a private home. It is set in extensive private lawn gardens, filled with trees and fragrant flowers. The outdoor sitting and dining areas, complemented by a large, infinity pool with children’s area, offer wonderful opportunities for relaxation and alfresco dining. Beautiful sunsets and the rural, quiet position of Villa Irene make it a perfect destination for those who love nature’s beauty and want to enjoy moments of peace and calmness.
Upon entrance, there is an open plan dining room and a fully equipped kitchen with a large fridge/freezer, oven, dishwasher and coffee machine. The spacious living area features a gorgeous, hand-crafted stone arch, large glass doors opening onto the lawn gardens and an office corner with a desktop computer for the guests to use.
On the same level, there are two bedrooms, each with twin beds and access to the gardens. These two bedrooms share a family bathroom with Jacuzzi bathtub. There is also a spacious attic with a double bed, en-suite shower room and a private balcony with amazing views, the perfect spot for the evening candle-lit drink.

This was a wonderful place for us. It was very comfortable for the 4 of us. The view was wonderful and the pool was an excellent place to cool off after a day of wandering. The living area also had a great view through the large patio doors.
The roads on this part of Crete are not for the faint of heart, but the reward of the views or beach is well worth the effort. And if you need a break from the tense driving like we did, just stay around the villa and hike to the sea or chapel or wherever. It’s a really great area to wander about. Plus the area is not overrun with crowds which is a very key element for us.
Maria was easy to communicate with. There is a book with things to do and estimated drive time to each. The kitchen worked fine for us to make some of our meals. I HIGHLY recommend you have a meal or two at Gialites in the village. The food, family owners and setting was wonderful.
