Het huis is geweldig! Ruim, schoon en prachtig gelegen aan zee. Geweldig uitzicht. Mooi zwembad. Fijne en ruime kamers met 3 badkamers. Kortom: een aanrader!
Hou wel rekening met het feit dat je in een klein dorp bent en even moet rijden voor boodschappen. Kleine, dagelijkse boodschappen en brood kun je dagelijks kopen in het dorp.

Everything about this place was amazing! It was lovely being so close to the coast, we explored the beach and loved looking at all the rocks. The Villa was perfect. It was comfortable, clean, and BEAUTIFUL. There were three village cats that came to visit us daily and they were a treat, we loved them dearly!! We even bought them some food and held them!
The hosts we're extremely informative about the area and gave us ideas on where to go and what to do for food. The area is secluded and you have to account for the distance you are from other cities. Plan your meals! Especially because places can be closed. We relaxed all day multiple days here. The pool was amazing too. We loved this place and seriously wish we could have stayed longer. We hope to be back someday!!
Plan your washes when you wash your clothes. We hanged dryed ours and it worked fine. It's a very energy friendly place! You definitely want to get a rental car coming to Crete, and be prepared for a bumpy road when visiting Balos. Go there early!!!
The path to this hotel is on a curvy mountain side to drive safely. The roads can get narrow. You're able to park right in front of the villa. A few cars go past the house but it was few and far between. Loved being here especially in a less crowded season. We had the beach to ourselves almost everyday. It's a rocky beach though, not a sandy one so be careful. Wear shoes hahaha thank you again for such a lovely and amazing stay. We are grateful for your help and constant availability.
Plan your showers to make sure you don't run out of hot water. There is a secondary generator to help with this! It wasn't a problem for us, everything was perfect.

We were a group of 4 friends in our 30s from London and had a great time. (You can definitely have more than 4.) There are five different seating areas outside, a pool, volleyball net and hammock.
You can swim in the sea straight from the house, if you don't mind rocks and some waves (diving shoes may be helpful). We loved it. And there are no other houses nearby, so it feels like a private beach. (There is a small road by the villa, but it has maybe one car every 30 minutes). You can also walk 10 minutes to a pebble beach with a couple of touristy restaurants, or find other quiet bays to explore.
The owners are very kind - they left us some treats, replied instantly and gave us advice about local activities. There is a small shop in the village (10 mins walk) but we bought most food in the towns of Kissamos and Platonos.
We also walked in the 'gorge' (canyon) from Kampos. The mountain roads are steep, with occasional goats - best for experienced drivers.
If you want the opposite of a 'package holiday' - this is it! Thank you Xristina and Pericles.
