Siangting B&B

Host was superb, with consistent warm hospitality and translation to hand. Great Views from property and proximity to trails. Breakfast and tea was lovely.

Mattress was a little firm

Ahqi (the host/owner, I'm not sure how to spell his name) is absolutely wonderful. We communicated through Google translate and he is beyond friendly and accommodating. The house is on a steep hill and his tea fields stretch out behind it (with others' rolling down the hillside in front. It's absolutely gorgeous. The breakfasts were delicious and the accompanying tea was the best oolong I've ever tasted.

The room was spacious with a balcony and a beautiful view (if there is no mist ...). There is a small sitting area with tea. The breakfast was great and for other meals you can go to any of the restaurants in the village at walking distance. We came by car and the location is convenient if you want to explore the area and visit Alishan (1 hour drive). The owner is very friendly.

80 Euro is not cheap but accommodation in the area is expensive. Check how to get there if you use public transport. Probably you need to grab a taxi from any of the train stations, which will add to the costs.

The host was very friendly and everything was super nice and clean. A special word for the best breakfast we ate in Taiwan so far!
