A truly deserved 10 out of 10!

I absolutely loved this unique hotel. As a UNESCO heritage building, it offers a truly special experience - having part of the historic wall in the bathroom was a beautiful surprise. Communication with management was excellent, and Lyudmila at reception was incredibly kind and welcoming. We had a lovely chat, and she even treated us to a homemade apple cake. A top-location hotel with a very friendly atmosphere and great comfort. I give it 10 out of 10 and highly recommend!

Over all it was a fantastic stay.

Clean , calm and most importantly in the center to explicate many main attractions. Staff were very friendly and nice.

WiFi was not working on third floor but they compensate us with not charging us the parking 😊

Spiral staircase to the third and fourth floors difficult with heavy/ large luggage. As long as you are aware it is fine.

Lovely place spoiled by poor toilet arrangement and poor cleanliness

Lots of character, excellent location for lift to the city centre, parking close by, Olga was excellent

Toilet not separated with a door from the rest of the room (not acceptable for us!); no stand up shower, bath had some sort of residue in it, dust on the kettle and other surfaces, loud noise from the bar next door continued to after 1 AM

This was absolutely the most special and perfect room from all that we had 2 weeks across Europe. Really spacious and clean. Amazing built against the rock/mountain. You can see the mountain in the hallway. Very impressive and super friendly staff. Location also the best.

I loved it! It was a lovely experience in Luxembourg.

So quaint, clean, and modern. Great walking location. Lovely breakfast. A kind, a cheery manager.

The stairs are small and tricky to navigate with luggage. It’s part of the charm, but not for travelers who might have mobility challenges. 4th floor has a wonderful tub but with no stand up shower. I didn’t mind, but it’s good to note.

Great room and location, shame about the parking situation

Cool architecture, stylisch room, good location

There’s only one parking spot which was booked when we arrived. The public parking is some distance away and can only be paid for 3 hours, which is a bit inconvenient. Apparently there’s another car park with a five hour limit but the staff didn’t know about it. The hotel should point to the fact that it’s essential to reserve the parking, if required!

Amazing location, beautiful room, friendly and welcoming.

I don’t even know where to begin with describing this absolutely beautiful little gem of a property. Our room was absolutely gorgeous, so comfortable and clean with lots of lovely little extras. The breakfast was delicious and the location was perfect. We loved our stay and we wished we could have stayed for longer.

A pleasant and clean stay overall, with especially kind and helpful staff.

I had a pleasant stay at La Pipistrelle Hotel. For €140 per night, I found the overall experience to be quite good — the room was clean, the location charming, and the atmosphere quiet and relaxing. That said, I personally wouldn’t consider staying here at a rate of €240–300 per night, as it simply doesn’t feel like that level of luxury or service — it’s more of a boutique B&B rather than a full-scale hotel experience. A special mention goes to the Ukrainian lady working there — she was incredibly friendly and helpful, kindly showing me around and pointing out useful local tips. It’s great to see the owner supporting someone in a difficult situation — true hospitality in every sense.

A fabulous boutique stay in a great spot for exploring

We absolutely loved the hotel. Its position for exploring the city is wonderful. The beds were comfortable and we loved the interior. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s worth noting there are no lifts/elevators so you need to go up steps with your bags. This wasn’t a problem for us. The bath in room 4 was lovely and we all had a wonderfully peaceful night’s sleep.

Apart from the lack of a lift, I absolutely loved my stay here.

Great location, breakfast was excellent, with options to choose from. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.

I was traveling with two large suitcases, but as the stairs were steep and my room was on the top floor, it was too much to carry them up. Fortunately, the hotel kindly let me store my luggage at the office downstairs.

Stunning boutique hotel with traditional architecture but ultra clean, modern facilities.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The space, design and decor are a perfect mix of modern and traditional. The architecture is unique as the building is built into the stone walls of the Grund and the architect has incorporated the rock wall into the structure. The room was large and simply but beautifully decorated. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom brand new and ultra clean. Reviews we read before booking mentioned noise outside on the streets, but we didn’t hear anything. It was very peaceful. The staff were also wonderful and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. I can’t wait to stay again and have already recommended it to friends.

The only downside, which didn’t bother me, was that there’s no elevator so you have to carry your bags up very narrow stairs to your room. If you’re on the third or fourth floor or have any mobility issues, it could be a challenge.

Lovely Luxembourg

Hotel idealogy is brilliant, 4 high quality rooms.. Service is very personal in good way. Room was very tidy & clean. Breakfast was made of high quality goods. Good coffee, cheeses, breads, yogurts, fruits etc. Hotel location is very practical, good access cross the city by walk (remember elevator next to hotel) not only Grund area. Personnel is brilliant.

Hotel not have elevator. With big luggage upper floors (3&4) access can be challenge due the narrow stairs.

Right next to the public elevator to the city center!! Saved tons of steps to get up the cliff face. Our room was on the 4th floor. It was spacious and very clean/comfortable! Breakfast was delicious and affordable.

Our only complaint would be climbing circular stairs without a rail and with luggage.

An excellent, charming, and relaxing stay!

The entire experience from beginning to end was wonderful. The building itself is a beautifully restored house backing right up to the limestone cliff so the walls in the room (in portions) are limestone and you feel a unique connection to nature. The owner was charming and super helpful; the breakfast was terrific with great options and eggs made to order. The room was extremely spacious, modern and updated beyond compare, and the beds were very comfortable. We appreciated every little detail and the charming Grund neighborhood. We were pleasantly surprised at the wonderful drinking and dining options right around, and the elevator up into the main part of Luxembourg is a 30 second walk away.

I will mention there is no elevator so be prepared to carry your suitcases up the stairway. The owner provides baskets also in case you only want to carry a few things and leave your bag on the ground floor. If you want to walk into town, it's a steep uphill (but quick) walk. For us, it was a perfect stay and we can't wait to return!

Short but sweet stay in lovely Luxembourg

Great location in the scenic Grund (valley) just steps from the elevator that takes you up to the Haute Ville. The property is charming, tucked into the mountain, with a winding staircase to bring you up to the room. Room was spacious with a separate sitting room and bedroom. Great breakfast for an additional fee. The staff were very friendly and flexible in storing our luggage for a later departure.
