Broomlea

We wanted a convenient and price competitive place to stay before our early morning flight Broomlea was perfect and our host was incredibly friendly and helpful with restaurant ideas for that evening.

Broomlea was a peaceful countryside setting that provided a welcome escape from busy tourist areas and made for a lovely overnight stay near Inverness. Our host was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and full of great local knowledge. We especially appreciated the recommendations for nearby attractions and scenic spots (nice little ice cream shop in the beautiful seaside town of Nairn and recommendation for the gardens at Cawdor Castle. The room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared. The blackout curtains were particularly effective and helped us sleep exceptionally well. The breakfast provided as part of the stay was a generous selection that exceeded our expectations.

The only minor issue we encountered was getting the hot water adjusted properly, though we suspect that was more our fault than the property’s. It was a very small glitch in an otherwise excellent experience.

Bed was very comfortable. Hostess, Theresa, was very welcoming and professional. Beautiful quiet area in the countryside.

Not suitable for people who haven’t got their own transportation or aren’t willing to pay for a taxi from Inverness or Nairn.
