The setting alone would merit full marks — scenery one simply wants to sit and take in — while the rooms, kept with genuine care, and a breakfast that wanted for absolutely nothing, raised the whole affair further still. It was the hosts, though, who tipped things over the top: warmth and generosity of a sort one rarely encounters, and entirely deserving of a rating beyond the ordinary scale.

The room and en suite were gorgeous and comfortable. There was a great selection for breakfast. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.
