The gift basket was really thoughtful, and the host met as to hand off the keys even though our plane was delayed. Eric gave us lots of suggestions for activities and restaurants and was prompt at answering our questions. Our accommodations were peaceful and very clean. Our kids LOVED feeding the resident donkeys and the sunset view from the hilltop patio is really lovely!
The only thing I can think of to suggest is maybe a fan in the bedrooms to circulate air. The temperatures were fine with the windows open, but I think it would be a nice addition.

Die Unterkunft liegt herrlich erhaben, am Nord-West-Ufer der Insel Faial. Die Ortschaft ist sehr ruhig, die Straße - wie fast alle auf Faial - ist wenig befahren und daher ist es wunderbar ruhig. Das selbe gilt für den Nachthimmel - auf dieser Seite der Insel kein Lichtsmog - sternenklarer Himmel und Ausblick gefühlt bis zur US-Küste. Ganz oben in der Anlage gibt es eine Sitzgelegenheit mit fantastischem Ausblick (noch besser als aus dem eigenen Schlafzimmer). Unsere Kinder haben das Pool geliebt. Mit der Überdachung ist es auch nutzbar, wenn es mal - selten aber doch - regnet.
Der "fehlende" Geschirrspüler hat dazu geführt, dass wir uns abwechseln mussten. Das wars aber auch schon mit negativen Punkten.
Dass die Einkaufs- und Gastronomie-Angebote auf Faial außerhalb von Horta beschränkt sind, weiss man - dh hier nur als disclaimer und nicht wirklich als "nicht gut gefallen".

O espaço da piscina, com snooker e ténis de mesa foi uma surpresa muito agradável
No meu caso não foi limitativo, mas acho triste o anfitrião não falar português.

The owner didn’t refill the food for breakfast on the second day ,so there wasn’t enough food for 4 people on the second day
