Beside the malfunction of my access card, I had a good stay

Location and available activities

My card didn’t work and after 22:30 there’s no staff. I was pretty much screwed. I was lucky the door wasn’t closed properly and later knocked on the door so someone could open. (Yes I tried calling)

Reasonably clean and easily accesible showers and toilets

- quiet hostel for the night only saw a handful of people but still put in a shared room with others - unfriendly staff, treated us like children - poor check in time, too late - poor breakfast with flies everywhere and questionable cleanliness - bad value for money

wonderful place

The location of this hostel is very nice, just next to the lac so you can see the beautiful view. There is floating bridge which you go through to the other side, then you can do the hiking over there. You can park you car in the parking on the street named An der Driicht, there is a big parking lot, then you can ask the reception for a parking card. You only need to pay 20 euro guarantee the. you can park for free. When you return the parking card to the reception, they will return this 20 euro. You can also reserve the dinner in advance, and you can eat outside on the terrace. You can have a nice meal with the view of the lac.

Surrounded by nature, rooms aren’t cramped + have a table

All of the staff was unfriendly, moody and not very helpful. When I asked how to get to another place, they told me to use webtaxi, which according to the website doesn’t operate in the area. They don’t have a trusted taxi number or were willing to help. In the separate building the hot water wasn’t working and when I approached the receptionist about it, she just stared at me in silence. And then told me I need to run it for 5 mins. It didn’t work in the end. The breakfast lady was shouting at me because I cut the bread the wrong way. The whole atmosphere isn’t very homely or friendly, more like mass accommodation. There’s also nothing around the hostel, you need to drive by car to get food etc

It was a welcome detour as the place we initally looked at was fully booked. It meant driving over an hour after securing oue booking online. The village is breathtaking, food was great and we got the shared room all to ourselves.

Nothing. We only wished we could have gone during summer to enjoy the rest of the facilities.

Pleasant

The design of the bunk beds makes it difficult to get in or out if you need to sleep on top. The pillow was not very good and did not give enough support. Sockets in the room, but not yet by the bed as in most hostels these days.

Great location (1 minute to the lake), better breakfast than in other hostels, we were two people in a four people dorm

staff could be more friendly and at least a little bit faster, in the mens shower only one out of four was working, on my mattress were many foreign hairs

Great Staff at great spot

The area was great for hiking and during summer it's probably also great for watersport. But best of all was the staff at this spot had some great chat with them. Would recommend this spot. There's also free parking by the bridge if you're coming by car.

Very well place to stay

Clean and well organised hostel, staff are helpful, efficient and friendly. Especially the one in the morning shift gave me lots of advice. As a cyclist, in the middle of rain really need valuable advice and I got it.

It may be good for locals but as a foreigner, it is in the middle of nowhere.

Great !

We were happy to see how helpful the reception staff was, we got a different room that what we had booked in order to fit our need best ! We were traveling for work and didn't have the same number of nights per person, but we got a room we didn't need to share with strangers which was very helpful since we had a lot of material in the accommodation with us.

The staff at breakfast was very strict, it is understandable there are rules due to the current health situation. But is should have been made clear earlier. Ex. How can we know we are not allowed to serve ourselves if there is nobody around ? Maybe mention the breakfast "rules" during the check-in.
