Lovely host, central place

It was perfectly central. Easy to get in as well. Lovely host Edmund and lovely cuddly kitty as well. Bed was really comfortable and the place was extremely clean. He gave us lots of suggestions what to do in Brussels. There was also a little coffee/tea station that was extremely appreciated.

We were with 3 people and maybe it's because we're dutch, but we were a bit too tall for the (third) bed. And the shower pressure was a bit on the lower side.

Comfortable, functional and close

The location was very central and close to the Grand Place although it was a bit difficult to find initially because the entrance isn’t marked. Edmund was very friendly and helpful and kept the place spotless. I very much appreciated the coffee and breakfast goodies and use of a sink and fridge if needed. Room was comfortable although sparse. Room was very quiet except for some noise when other guests came and went.

The garden wasn’t really a useable area.

A wonderfully central guesthouse with a warm, welcoming host in Edmunds, whose kindness, helpfulness and thoughtful litt

BXLROOM Guesthouse was a fantastic find. Edmunds was exceptionally nice, helpful, friendly, accommodating and informative – he really made our visit so much more enjoyable. All the little touches in the room and around the guesthouse were greatly appreciated and showed how much care he puts into hosting. The location is also perfectly central, making it easy to walk to all the main sights and get around the city. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

Outstanding location, host and experience.

Edmund was an outstanding host. He had great suggestions for restaurants, activities, and using the train system. The flat was spotless and relaxing for 3 adults. We appreciated a central shared area with coffee, tea, juice provided. Enjoyed meeting the chill resident cat, Tora. Great neighborhood, easy walking distance to train, Christmas market, historic Brussels sights, grocery store, cafes.

There was nothing we disliked. The location is safe and perfect for walking around the heart of Brussels. Pricey, but we will remember the priceless experience long after we forget the cost.

Edmund the host was the nicest person that you could ever meet, nothing is too much trouble and very knowledgeable about what you can visit. The guest house is just Amazing, from the design right through to the amenities, love the house cats and just the total zen of the property. Love what he has done.

An amazing huge apartment that we will recommend to anyone who is lucky enough to secure a booking.

The best thing about BXL guesthouse was Edmund, the owner. He made sure we had everything we needed plus so much more such as fresh flowers, cleaning every day and fresh towels as well as visits from his amazingly friendly cats!!! We cannot fault our stay.

Fantastic location, we stayed in a lovely loft apartment with its own garden terrace. Edmund, the owner, was so friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our visit to Brussels because of our excellent accommodation.

We had a wonderful stay at BXL Guesthouse. The location is excellent—central, safe, and ideal for exploring the city. The guesthouse itself was spotless, and the atmosphere was calm and welcoming. Our hosts were incredibly helpful and kind without ever being intrusive. Their thoughtful touches made us feel right at home. And the cats—absolutely adorable! They added such a warm, homely feel to the place. It truly felt like a little oasis in the heart of Brussels. We’re so grateful for the experience and would absolutely recommend BXL Guesthouse to anyone visiting the city. Thank you for a lovely stay!

A comfortable apartment with balcony looking onto a private garden We appreciated the apartment as a quiet retreat in the city centre. Our host was very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed access to a shared kitchen area with coffee machine.

Fantastic location and great host

Amazing location right in the center within minutes of the grand place and many restaurants and bars. Yet you do not hear anything it is super quiet. The host is very attentive

The only small negative is the lack of AC which can be uncomfortable during heatwaves. However fans are provided

In a great location. Lovely modern room and kitchen with a wide variety of nice beverages. A very friendly and welcoming host. Lovely bathroom and powerful hot shower. Very clean and tidy. The whole apartment had a calming and tranquel feel.

Added pleasure was the guesthouse and host as was the city

Could not of asked for a better host(Edmund) who was not intrusive but always available for assistance and recommendations. Location was perfect, right near many of sites: Magritte museum, mannekin pis, gayborhood, 10 minute walk to the train station to Brugges or /Ghent. No need to go out if you prefer, all kitchen amenities were there. Laundromat directly across the street. Coffee, tea , light breakfast, juice , honey, peanut butter, croissants, waffles, crackers, chocolates and more were available 24/7.

The outdoor space could use a freshening up but it too provided refuge from the busy days tooling around the city. A mini-split would be a suggestion also

Very nice stay in the heart of Brussels, in a calm place where you only hear the birds

Excellent location in the city centre. Very quiet room - in spite of its location, no noise from the street comes through, as the room opens to a private garden. Very cozy room. There is no official breakfast in the hotel, but the hosts provide you coffee, tea, orange juice, mueslis, and sometime seven freshly baked croissants - so practivally a complete breakfast. Very kind and nice hosts, easy and friendly communication. Nice cats too!

Nice location and kind, attentive manager.

Room was full of mosquitos and other flying insects. It made it difficult to sleep, and we spent quite a bit of time swatting bugs. We did not open the doors to the terrace, so can only assume cleaning staff keep the doors open when cleaning or the doors themselves do not shut completely.

I'd stay here every time

Great host with Edmund. He couldn't do enough to help and was very personable. Even left me a birthday card and some chocolates for my birthday...and a couple of beers the day after (and remembered I'd said my missus liked fruit beer). Fantastic location. The bed was extremely comfy. Free coffee and juices. And it's a bean to cup machine in the communal area, so a lot better than the usual instant/nespresso you normally get. 2 very friendly cats. My missus is no fan of cats, but actually loved the "tabby". We only saw the other cat once, but that was really friendly too. The place is very secure, a locked gate on the outside, Edmund gives you the code on arrival. He also keeps you informed of any code change.

Could do with a better hairdryer, but I'm not knocking my 10/10 rating down just for that little matter.

BXL Guesthouse is within a short walk to many attractions, restaurants, stores, and the train station. Our pretty room was spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a great stay. The shared dining area was nice as well and drinks such as teas, juice, and snacks were provided. The host was wonderful - knowledgeable, helpful, and provided excellent recommendations! We highly recommend BXLRoom and very much looking forward to returning!

The room and decor were amazing. It’s a cute apartment with all the amenities in a great location. It’s close to main attractions, restaurants and shopping, as well as transit. The host, Edmund, is fabulous! Super helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend staying here while in Brussels.

I can’t say enough positive things about the Guesthouse. Edmund made the experience absolutely sensational. Without his advice and knowledge of the city, our visit would have been standard. Edmund’s recommendations, not to mention the Guesthouse itself, made our stay in Brussels one of our favorite vacations we’ve ever been on. The room was spacious with soft lighting and had its own balcony with chairs and shade. The bed was larger than hotel beds and much more comfortable. The common area had coffee, tea, food, and his two adorable cats. He even baked all his guests croissants one morning and let us eat some of his tomatoes he grows there. If you are unsure whether or not you want to stay at this location, I cannot recommend it enough! I would rate this 100/10 if I could, and if I am ever back in Brussels again I will only stay here.

I wish I could have spent more time here, my wife and I were only here for two days which wasn’t enough to experience everything we wanted to.

Exceptional

First of all, the Host was very friendly, accomodating and nice. He even let us play with his cat 😊 The room is very clean, spacious, the bed is comfortable. The Bathroom is also clean. The host cleans the room and bathroom everyday which is a plus point for us. The whole facility smells good like you are in a Spa which also makes us relax once we have arrived at the hotel. There is no free breakfast but he is very generous, there is a coffee machine which you can have a coffee for free, Juices, some bread, banana etc. Overall we really had a great stay in this Hotel. We will definitely stay again here if ever we go again to Belgium! ❤️

Highly recommend—wonderful accommodation and host!

Very comfortable and well appointed guest house with a perfect location to see the sights in the center of Brussels. My host, Edmund, was friendly and very accommodating, letting me check in early and even helping me out when I lost my plug adapter and purchased a new one for me. I highly recommend this accommodation!
