Perfect location & Great Service

Excellent well managed Hotel with a friendly attentive team who ensured a great stay. Secure Moto parking made better by the complimentary ice cold beer on my daily return. Much appreciated. Good value breakfast offering cereal, muesli, yoghurt, bread & croissant served in a clean room overlooking the park. It’s a lovely period building, quiet yet only 5 min walk to centre.

Worst hotel room I ever saw

The staff was polite

We had room no 1, it was the worst hotel room we ever stayed in. Strong mold smell, coming probably from under the wallpaper. Dirty on every corner and especially in the bathroom. Remodeling will not help In this case. It needs to be demolished and rebuilt. We didn't had the courage to take a shower.

I was attracted by the secure parking as I was motorcycle touring and it's always a worry leaving a bike out in a city centre. The parking area is behind tall gates and my bike went into a garage along with 2 other guest motorcycles. There is also covered parking area for cars. I wasn't expecting much for the money, but the room, although being very dated and a bit tired was scrupulously clean. There was a bath which was welcome after a day on the road. Had a pleasant evening in the Place Ducale (the main city square) which is a short walk away with plenty of restaurants (There was actually a Fete de la Biere going on !). Breakfast was decent and overall I found the experience very positive especially given the low price.

Great location, good price but tired old hotel.

The location close to the city centre for access to restaurants etc. The secure and covered parking for my motorcycle. The cost of staying there, I was travelling on a budget. The room and bathroom were spacious. All staff were friendly and helpful.

The room I had, despite being spacious, had issues. It looked out over the busy road in front and had no double glazing to reduce noise. It had 2 sets of old fashioned single glazed windows which could be fully opened for ventilation but did nothing to cut noise. The single curtain was old and allowed a lot of light through it. The main bedroom had a peculiar smell of, I think, smoking over long time. The attached bathroom was large and has similar windows. Unfortunately there is a nasty drains smell coming from the bath plug hole. It has a large bath, which I used, but the shower attachment wasn’t great, the shower hose could be longer. I had all windows open to try and freshen the air but it didn’t really help. The place is old and really needs an upgrade. Breakfast was disappointing. Cereal, some cold meat and cheese in a fridge, bread to make toast, small array of juices and filter coffee which actually was nearly cold. Massive croissant though!

Great one-night stopover.

Super stay in a personable old-school hotel. We were welcomed in with a beer after a hot day's riding, and were offered a garage to put our motorbikes in - perfect! The hotel is a little worn around the edges but nothing that gave us any inconvenience - in fact it added to the stay, rather than being in soulless chain hotel. As we were touring we only stayed one night, and this was an idea ideal stop. Short walk to the town centre for bars and food. Excellent value. Would happily return.

Friendly staff in a convenient location, comfortable overnight stay before onward journey.

Very friendly, safe, secure parking a bonus (traveled by motorbike). Breakfast was good, fresh croissants/bread lovely, could be improved with more fresh fruit; eggs and fresh orange juice. Bedroom was large with a lovely view of the green opposite, french rustic charm; bed extremely comfortable and despite being on a busy road very quiet. Very well placed to visit - 5 mins walk into town. It's not 5* but for the price I feel great value.

Would be nice to have a fresh bottle of water in the room on arrival. No real complaints

Ok for overnight stay

Location was great 10 min walk to centre.great parking spot for motorbike in closed yard behind hotel €5.which was great.staff were friendly and helpful.bed comfy.

Decor was typically old french style,which i love,but probably could do with an update in some areas though,don't think anything has been changed since 1960s..room 13 small curtains in bathroom which cover 2 small windows high up could do with a wash or new ones.. I would stay again though.

Too noisy. No silence - window to noisy road and inside almost "no standard wall" - you hear everything from other rooms. Moreover still uses standard key, so if you forget to lock, everybody can enter the room.

This hotel is underrated if you like a classic French experience.

Thé room was comfortable in the older style of furniture and decor. I read the poor reviews on breakfast and have to differ. we had a real French breakfast with hot croissants, fresh bread, and strong brewed coffee ( not from a machine). The staff were very helpful with directions and even carried my bag upstairs because I had a back injury.
