Just three Cheers to Markos at ElGrecko Hotel in Thessaloniki

Location room and breakfast was extremely good. Most importantly I would like to add a few words of praise and thanks to MARKOS who was mainly in the front office but also all over the key areas of customer interaction. Unforunately I was not feeling great and check in Jan 26 at 2 PM was denied per rules by the reception and even escalated to Markos who I did not see. Denied. So I accepted the situation and sat down desperate to lie down and rest. Later after about thirty minutes or so I oobseved a man looking at me (later knew him to be Markos) and asked me to bring our PPorts and in a jiffy I was peacefully resting in my lovely room on the 7th floor. Same bebevolence from Maros at checkout after three nights for a later checkout. In those three days I found Markos managing a whole lot of the front office, breakfast room, housekeep etc. Managers like Markos go a long way in enticing customers to come back. Cool guy -I really wanted to give him my praise and gratitude.and let the higher management know that they have some splendid dedicated folks that fly the flag of El Greck high and with pride. I will come back.

We liked it very much, and the hotel’s location is perfect for a tourist who wants to visit the downtown and the closest

Staff was very helpful, and very good breakfast.

Despite we were there in October, the weather was very good (21-24C), therefore it would be good if the air conditioning would worked properly. Sometimes it was warm in the room.

The AC didn't work very well, the room was quite warm and the mini fridge next to the bed felt like a heater. Also a smaller chair to actually fit at the desk would be nice.

Great value for money.

Good breakfast - variety of choices, both sweet and savour. Great location, easy to access by public transport. Walkable distance to main attractions. Clean. Enough of amenities. I expected room to be a bit be noisy from the busy street, but it wasn't that bad. We were on higher floor though.

Shower did not have doors, so it was easy to "flood" the bathroom, if you were not careful enough. Nothing really important, for the price and location, it was worth the money.

Pleasant stay

I enjoyed my stay in El Greco. The location is very convenient. The room was nicely furnished, spacious, and comfortable. The view from the 9th floor was fantastic. Breakfast was very good. If I return to Thessaloniki, I will book it again.

Staff- very good, proffessioinial, especially the ones with white shirts, quick and helpful!

facilities - this was an old building renovated to an extent. The bathroom cannot drain water well, there some electricity problems. Elevators are small, hardly fit 2 ppl. Parking is in a separate business nearby, but paid separately.

Hotel is located in one of the Main Street, very accessible to everything. Room is in good size, and very clean. Weekend evening was a bit noise, but acceptable.

The quilt is so thin, feeling a bit cold at night. It would be better to provide extra duvet.

Everything. Hotel is very clean, location is perfect, and breakfast is exeptional and tasty. Personel is very kind and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel!

Maybe one small dislike is towards bathroom, shower has largr opening so bathroom gets wet during shower, and hair dryer is weak for long hair. My husband used it without any problems, but I could not dry ny hair properly so we recommend bringing your own hairdryer.
