Bathroom shabby and shower curtain which didn't close properly. Lumpy pillows. Very uncomfortable outdoor seating.

We spent our honeymoon here in April 1974, 52 years ago so it was very special to return. A few changes but still lovely and the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

We recently stayed at the Wild Bowl Hotel and overall had a very enjoyable visit. The room was extremely comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The majority of the staff were lovely – friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our time there. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by an encounter with the night porter on our return from an evening out. When we arrived back around 2am, he was very rude, questioning us aggressively about where we had been and becoming quite angry and hostile. When I politely asked for a soft drink, his response was unwelcoming and unprofessional, which left a sour impression after what had otherwise been a pleasant day. While this was a single negative incident, it did affect our overall feeling about the hotel. We would recommend the Wild Bowl Hotel for its comfortable rooms and generally lovely staff, but hope management addresses standards for the night shift to ensure all guests feel welcome at any hour.
