Large, clean room and comfortable bed. Very quiet. Great front desk staff. A good uphill 20 minute walk to the main piazza in Volterra.

Quiet, peaceful, very clean and lots of space.
The keys were a bit hard to use.

An interesting old building in close proximity to volterra. Good parking. A comfortable simply decorated bedroom.
Poor communication. A message was sent at 10pm the evening prior to our arrival to inform of a later check in which we did not receive. Had to wait an hour to check in. Place was deserted. Then informed that restaurant was closed whilst on booking site it stated open during our stay. If we had known this we would have cancelled and found alternative hotel as was celebrating our wedding anniversary. No real apology or even offer of a complimentary drink. Disappointing experience.
