Hotel Scott House

conveniently located near Rome Termini metro and buses. From airport bus takes about 45 minutes and leaves you in front of Termini station which is 1 1/2 block away from hotel.

Hotel Scott House is just a 5 minute walk from Roma Termini. The lift is very useful as the hotel is on the 4th and 5th floors of the building. The breakfast was excellent.

I have stayed here before as I like to be close to Rome Termini station from where I an easily catch trains and also transport to the airport. The hotel is on the 4th floor of a building with soundproof windows, modern bathroom and fully equipped rooms. There is a reliable aircon, a fridge, hairdryer in the room. The staff is multilingual and very helpful. It’s possible to store your luggage when arriving early. The entire place is very clean and well maintained.

The hotel has some good points: the room was clean and renovated, the location is convenient for Rome Termini, and the staff were polite and genuinely helpful. However, the building itself feels old and in need of serious upgrades, and the broken air conditioning made the stay impossible in hot weather. We had to check out after one night because we could not sleep. Positives: The location is convenient if you want to stay close to Rome Termini, with easy access to transport and trains. The room itself was clean and looked recently renovated. The staff were polite, helpful, and professional. They tried to help us with the AC problem and even lent us a fan, although unfortunately it was in poor condition and did not really work. The best part of the experience was their help after we left: I accidentally left my AirPods at the hotel, and the staff cooperated very well by communicating through email, packing them, and handing them over to the courier I arranged. That was excellent service and I genuinely appreciated it. Negatives: The hotel is inside a very old building that needs serious upgrading. The elevator is extremely cramped, old, and feels unreliable. The reception area is tiny, and the hallways are narrow. Although the room was renovated and clean, it was not spacious, and it was easy to hit furniture or objects while moving around. The biggest issue was that we were told at arrival that the air conditioning was broken. Rome was around 31°C, and the heat in the room was unbearable. We stayed one night hoping it might become manageable during the night, since we were out during the day, but it did not improve and we could not sleep. Because of that, we checked out the next day and moved to another hotel. Overall, I appreciated the staff and their service, especially their help with my forgotten AirPods, but the broken AC and the condition of the building made the stay unacceptable for us.
