Lovely, clean stay with great location of A and good breakfast

Pros: Location is great for A - Nice to wake up and see the mountain tops through your skylight Breakfast - Lovely breakfast buffet. Good variety of Norwegian ®ular breakfast staples Staff at counter friendly and answered our questions about area/accommodations Free parking - big bonus since Norway usually requires payment for parking Although shared bath, we had no wait for WC. We had a sink in our room so only shower and toilet facilities are shared.

Cons: You may hear noise from people outside on public deck. During our stay all observed quiet time after 11PM. We always have ear plugs so we are ok.

Memorable amd picturesque

Perfect scenically located, impeccably clean, great food and warm ambience at downstairs restaurant. Staff was professional and very accommodating. Took great pictures of nightly auroras. Overall an excellent stay. Will definitely come back.

Out of this world

This is a beautiful clean hotel located on a converted fisherman’s wharf with wonderful staff an outstanding restaurant in a historic village at the end of the lofoten islands - a wonderful surprise. Best food we have had in Norway

The staff was very friendly and helpful. She helped us to organize a car to go to the ferry stop.

The breakfast was good, with good selection. The room is clean, comfy and has a view.

I stayed here for the 2nd year. Last year, the breakfast was served inside the bright section with top down looking out with amazing view. That was one of the memorable highlight of my Lofoten trip. However, this year, the breakfast was served in between the hotel lobby and lunch area, which is a bit dark.

The diner. It is a 5 star restaurant. Good taste, good portions, good presentation. The personel is extreme friendly and nothing is to much for them. The breakfast is olso a 5 star. Worth to come back.

We will probably never be back due to our age but will always recommend it to everyone we talk to.

The wait staff was amazing. Very friendly and talkative. The young lady from Spain who waited on us for dinner and the young man from France who waited on us at breakfast were very kind and very interested in us and very interesting when we asked them about themselves. The breakfast was excellent.

Shared bathrooms - more like a hostel

Great location - A is so cute. Walked to the bakery, the stockfish museum, and to the cliffside! The skylight was fun. Glad we had our own sink in our room.

Breakfast was not included - that is an extra cost. We had a late check in and while we were able to find the key and instructions okay, the instructions to the room were VERY unclear. This is more like a hostel with shared bathrooms at the end of the hallway - 2 showers and 2 toilets. Not super clean.

The restaurant downstairs is amazing, great food. Shared bathrooms are very clean, exceptional! Small facility to make tea in the corridor was nice and of course the views are fantastic.

Note that what you see in the pictures is what you get - not a bad thing neccesarily, just be aware that you are getting a room with a bed and a washbasin, no storage, chair, table etc. At this price (and also without breakfast), you know right away that you are in a tourist hotspot ;)

The check in was very easy and the room was nice. especially the view outside the window! The shared bathroom was down the floor but it was very clean. The staff was very polite. On our last evening we had dinner at the restaurant. Starter, main course and desert: delicious! it’s definitely worth eating there!

Very good

The location was great, our room was above the restaurant and facing the old fishing houses. The beds were comfy. Even though the bathrooms were shared, they were clean and spacious.

The restaurant made no efforts to give us a table with a view, applying strict policy of keeping everyone in the bar area as long as there were tables there. Many guests were baffled by being refused to enjoy the whole empty room with big windows facing the sea. The reception is not in the same room but some 200 m away and not at all well marked for guests to understand where to find the keys.

Very noisy - the staff room is above the rooms and there is a lot of passage since early morning and late night.

Superb

The surroundings were absolutely beautiful. We loved the fishing village. Also, the rooms were clean and the beds were relatively new although quite soft.

The temperature in the rooms raised crazily high during the day when the sun was shining. The only way to get it cooler was to open the door to the corridor which quite the opposite was relatively cold.

expensive hotel in a beautiful place

The room was very nice, I loved the view.

Check in is in an other building, which was a bit confusing in the beginning. Since there is no breakfast or other services included and we had a shared bathroom the price is way too high. We stayed for less money in places as nice as Å including own shower and breakfast!

there was not any hangers nor wardrobe to hang your clothes. a couple of coat hooks is not enough - especially when you have wet clothes. I wish also that there had been a small table in the room.
