Arkaig Guest House

The hosts were so friendly and were very communicative. They checked in with us when our arrival time changed just to make sure we were still coming. The breakfast was fantastic. We loved our stay here!

Comfortable well equipped room, with all we needed for our short stay. Spotlessly clean. Warm welcome despite our rather later than scheduled arrival. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast. Right on bus route so could have easily gone into town to find a meal had we wanted: however we were so tired that the McDonalds just round the corner was a blessing!

Not a complaint: in order to maximise space the door to the ensuite was a bifold - they never seal entirely well, do they? But it made very good use of limited space, and we would much rather have had that than a shower/toilet out on.the landing. A very creative solution, and as said above, spotlessly clean.

Evelyn and Charlie were super people, very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Ideally located for me personally, and an absolutely fantastic breakfast.

The bin in my room hadn't been emptied upon arrival, (see pic), and the mattresses are just about due for renewal, I stayed in the triple room, (3 single beds) and none were satisfactorily comfortable, I laid on all 3 and chose the one which was least uncomfortable for me, (Goldilocks springs to mind🤣). Other than that which I'm sure will now be rectified, a fantastic place to stay, I scored Arkaig Guest House 9/10, but would have been a straight 10 had the beds been comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
