Excellent central location, yet set in a large garden that made it feel rural. Brilliant view from the large glass doors. Quirky and unusual chalet layout. All the facilities needed for a short stay. Friendly and helpful hosts.
Compact layout of chalet was just fine for a short break but maybe not ideal for a longer stay when you might need more storage space. Shower was interesting and versatile but controls were not so obvious to a new user. Access was up a steep hill so might be challenging if you have mobility issues.

The location was great right in the centre of Rothsey with lovely views over the town and sea view too. Convenient to shops, restaurants and attractions. Ivybank was pleasant to stay in and bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very glamorous with a lovely bath.
Felt a few touches were missing..ie Dish towel for drying up and the utensils and crockery were poor in the kitchenette area.. no wine glasses, mugs would be better for tea, no sharp knifes or microwave dishes and the crockery provided was not microwave safe as it had a metal trim on it. There was no plug for the bath or a bath mat. Steep stairs tricky when carrying bags up and down.
