Nice location fairly close to town and looking out on a picturesque bay with ferries going back and forth. We saw a porpoise from our window one day. The room was nicely furnished with a breakfast nook. The staff were nice when we finally met them. This is not a B&B, but they provide food for basic breakfast in the room. We supplemented it with some fruit from the supermarket nearby.

There isn't anybody there when you arrive. Rothesay itself wasn't quite what we'd hoped -- it has some nice things, but also a lot of underused or under-repair buildings. But Mount Stuart and the tourist bus around the island are good for one pleasant day.

From the first correspondence to departure the host and staff were welcoming and could not do enough to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The decor and quality of amenities were of a very high standard. Short walk to the ferry, town and buses. Amazing views, right opposite the waterfront. The breakfast pack was a welcome addition that we very much appreciated. For us it was a home from home. Wish we could have stayed longer.
