Great location, well equipped

Bar on bottom of bed, not great for tall husband.

It was lovely, spacious and clean. Great view. Welcome pack was much appreciated. Close to shops and amenities. Host, Andrea, was kind and helpful.

The shower head was a bit wobbly but I worked around that so it wasn’t a problem. Andrea explained the hot water could take 2-3 minutes to heat up which isn’t unusual, but it was lovely and warm and temperature was easily adjustable.

The rooms, were spotlessly clean, the location was good, walking distance from the centre.The view was lovely.

There were a few issues with the shower room. Nowhere to lay anything in the shower ie shampoo or sponge. The sliding door came off the runners each time it was used. The towel rail fell down,at one end. The door squeaked which meant visiting the loo during the night noisy as it needed to be closed to pass it from the far side of the bed.

Location was excellent and it had a lovely cafe which served excellent food.

This is an old building which has been converted from a hotel into flats. There are light switches everywhere which don’t do anything and a lack of power points . The owners have got around that by using extension cables but I still had to stand in the middle of the room to dry my hair. The bed creaked with every turn and although it had a crisp white fitted sheet the bed covers were very tired and worn. Stairs needed a hoover when we arrived and were still needing hoovered when we left 3 days later although the flat was very clean. Small things could be changed to make it more appealing. Mugs in cupboard weren’t matching and the bedside light didn’t work but to be fair I didn’t report this as we were only using the flat as a base to sleep in. Owners were very nice and the food in the cafe was excellent. Could be a lovely place just needs a few upgrades.
